Slither is a minor antagonist in the 2006 film Casper's Scare School and a minor character in the series of the same name. He is one of the Underworld monsters students at Scare School and a prominent member of a clique led by Thatch, the school bully.
In the TV show, he was voiced by an unknown voice actor in Season 1 and Matthew Géczy in Season 2.
Description[]
Slither is one of Thatch's loyal followers and close friends, often seen helping him with his pranks and plans to get along and get Casper into trouble. He is often shown to be the calmest member of Thatch's clique, as well as being the least harsh when compared to Thatch and Dummy Girl.
Appearance[]
Slither is one of the more mysterious Scare School species, however he appears to be something of a crawling snake monster, hence his name. His skin and eyes are gray in color and his hair is white, long and clumsy, he also has dark circles under his eyes, a black unibrow and small nostrils, as well as pointed ears. His attire consists of a dark blue cloak that covers his lower body. He also has a pair of striped tentacles in place of arms, which are capable of stretching.
Personality[]
Despite his prominence as Thatch's friend, Slither is still a rather hard-to-describe personality, being one of the more under-detailed characters on the show.
Overall, Slither is calm, quiet, and somewhat "mysterious", although he can still be seen making a quick, usually explanatory comment at times. He has a slightly husky voice, similar to Wolfie and Quasi, only lower and slurred. Like the other members of Thatch's clique, he is also a bully at school, who despises and makes fun of the other students, including Casper.
Clique[]
Slither is one of the most prominent members of Thatch's clique, whose aim is to pull off tasteless pranks and devise evil plans to help their leader get along or get other students in trouble, including Casper, whom they despise.
Powers and Abilities[]
- Tentacles Stretching: His only known skill. Slither has shown to be able to extend his tentacles on occasion, which is used to reach people or objects from a long distance.
Relationships[]
Slither has had some interactions with other characters on the series, though they are mostly non-descriptive.
Thatch[]
Slither is one of Thatch's bully friends, and like the other members of the clique, they both enjoy making fun of Casper and pulling pranks. Judging by the many interactions between the two and the fact that they are almost always seen together, it can be said that Slither has a good friendship with Thatch.
Dummy Girl[]
Slither is often seen alongside Dummy Girl and occasionally talking to her. Their biggest interactions are in "Fang Decay", where Slither unintentionally saves her from taking a crush, resulting in the two having a typical "in love" scene, indicating that they likely had a crush on each other, although this only happened once. In a few moments, the two are seen arguing and fighting with each other briefly, as in "Power Outage", where Slither mocks her for not being funny and is soon met with a slap from her.
Ra[]
The biggest interaction between the two was shown in "The Ra-Minator", where Slither, along with the rest of the school including Thatch's clique, are seen praising Ra for his "amazing moves". Slither is first seen greeting Ra in a school hallway and later in the cafeteria letting him sit in Thatch's corner, next to him, and praising him for "pretending" that he was a loser for quite a while, which indicates that Slither, like Thatch, didn't like him. In the end, when Ra's deeds were finally discovered to be fake, Slither and the rest of the school stopped praising him.
In "Rich Kid Ra", Slither is seen with Thatch and Dummy Girl trying to manipulate Ra into thinking they are his friends so he can gain his riches.
Casper[]
Slither seems to despise Casper, as does Thatch and most of the other members of his clique, mostly because of his friendly demeanor, and is often seen plotting with them some prank or plan to get Casper in trouble.
