Smoothie is the secondary antagonist of the graphic novel Happy! and the Syfy comedy show of the same name. He is Blue's sadistic and nihilistic henchman who is known for his sick and unusual interrogation techniques.
He was played by Patrick Fischler, who also voiced and did the motion capture for Mickey Cohen in the video game L.A. Noire.
Biography
Backstory
Little is known about Smoothie's actual backstory other than his father left him when he was young and he was left to take care of his disturbed mother alone. From what is told by Smoothie, his father abused him day in and day out and never gave him a break, leading him to be the damaged schizophrenic he is today. Smoothie's strange patterns of behavior would start at a young age when he cut off his genitals and displayed them in a jar for his Junior High Science Fair just because he wanted to show that it was possible, giving him the nickname, "Smoothie."

Smoothie is your typical sociopathic hitman. He is twisted, perverted, and has an undesirable need to torture people in order to get his job done. He shows no emotion in his voice at all, and rarely does he ever yell. This is shown in the episode, "Tallahasese." When Smoothie is finished skinning Scooter Sterling, he shows no emotion when he tells Smoothie to kill him, even ignoring it and making a joke about his breath being awful. This shows that he doesn't care about human life whatsoever and will not show his victims any remorse. Even when he is not the one causing the violence, he doesn't turn away from it, and seems to be getting, "gratification," from it. Like Anton Chigurh, he does his best to keep emotions out of his work, leading him to be a nihilist and have zero regard for human live. Even going so far as to compare humans to, "hogs to slaughter."' Smoothie has also been shown to be quite loyal to whoever he works for, doing any job he is given without any hesitation nor does he demand money or payment in the process.
There are no redemming qualities to Smoothie other than he ocassionally can be caring, especially when it comes to his own mother and Jessie McCarthy. When Blue hires him to watch Meredith McCarthy's dementia striken mom, Smoothie is shown to be caring and nice to her, making monkey bread and doing makeovers with her, while still being his usual insulting self. But aside from that, he doesn't use his softer side for anything other than manipulating people. Most notably Hailey. In season 2, he spends most of his time trying to convince Hailey that he is sorry for what he has done and trying to convince her that he is the only person she can trust. In season 2, Hailey makes friends with the bullies after Smoothie handicaps their leader under the bleachers. When they are in class, they order a cake for her which actually turns out to be a fruitcake. While Hailey thinks that she has been tricked, the girls who brought the cake actually don't know what's going on, revealing that they actually got her a real cake. That being said, when Hailey goes back to the park, Smoothie is feeding the birds while they have a close conversation. As the camera pans away, we are shown that the cake the girls actually got Hailey was being feed to the birds.

Smoothie is usually seen in a three piece black suit with a tie. When he is torturing his victims, he takes of his suit coat and downs an apron, surgeon gloves, and a face protector to stop the blood splatter. Under his clothes, it is revealed that he is missing his genitals which got him his nickname.
In season two, he occasionally dons an all black bunny gimp suit. His right eye also seems to have been replaced with a bunny eye that is constantly moving, much to his dismay.

Smoothie possess no superhuman or supernatural abilities. But Smoothie's nihilistic God complex help shape him into a worthy adversary. He is shown to be very skilled with tools and even his own hands as he was able to cleanly remove all the skin off of Scooter Sterling's body and be able to keep him alive for as long as he wants. He also possess a knowledge of drugs and remedies that he uses to advantage. He carefully studies each drug before he uses it and knows how to make them where off so he can prevent it from happening until he is done. Unlike the other villains, though, Smoothie is not a very athletic or skilled in hand to hand combat because he rarely needs to use it, as he makes sure his victims don't want to or aren't able TO fight back.
