He was voiced by Banjō Ginga in Japanese (who also voiced Daniel J. In English; he was voiced by John Swasey (who also voiced Crocodile in One Piece, All For One in My Hero Academia, Bols in Akame ga Kill! and Hakumen no Mono in Ushio and Tora).
Appearance[]
Snidel is a tall and well-built man, roughly in his 60s, with blue eyes, brown hair with blonde patches parted at the back of his head, and a short beard around his mouth. As a Military Intelligence colonel, Snidel wears a khaki-colored coat with light green buttons and red patches inside wrapped around his shoulders. Underneath, his uniform is olive green, adorned with a Sam Browne belt around his waist.
Personality[]
Snidel is a ruthless, intimidating and authoritative man with a propensity to painfully kill people (especially his subordinates) who always come in his way, just to make sure they even hesitate at his orders and make sure that his soldiers obey him in a state of constant, unquestioning fear.
He greatly enjoys desserts such as Meremere and prides himself on being a gourmand, adding more egotistical roots to the kind of man he is. While he never shows respect to anyone, he sometimes is seen talking gently and somehow acts opportunistically towards his victims. This was shown when he challenged Loid to compete in tasting the correct types of sugar in dishes despite insulting someone with a weaker sense of smell.
Biography[]
Background[]
Sometime before the events of the movie, Colonel Snidel ordered two of his soldiers, Dimitri and Luka, to retrieve an important microfilm that was necessary to his plan to kickstart a brand new war between Ostania and Westalis by sending it to the Republic of Albo so that it can make an air strike over the nearest nation, which would result in thousands of innocents dying in the process.
Spy x Family CODE: White[]
Snidel is first shown entering the Rubbles & Bonds restaurant in Frigis alongside a group of soldiers. While the restaurant typically only allows families, he uses his military rank to threaten the business into serving him. Upon learning that the last meremere dessert had just been sold to the Forger family, he orders one of his soldiers to take one from the Forger's table. When Loid attempts to ask for the meremere back politely, Snidel instead proposes a challenge: both of them are served three treats and have to write down the exact type of sugar used in each. Whoever has the most correct wins, with Snidel saying Loid will take it in the case of a draw. While both Loid and Snidel get the correct sugars, Snidel wins by writing down the exact amounts of sugar used in each treat.
Snidel is later seen boarding a large airship, where he shoots an underling in the head after outing him as a spy. Domitri and Luka soon inform him that the microfilm was stolen, and he sends his men to capture the thief. The thief in question turns out to be Anya Forger, whose meremere Snidel had earlier taken. Upon learning that Anya had accidentally eaten the microfilm, he has Domitri and Luka watch her until she poops it out. The airship takes off, and while in the air an aircraft piloted by Loid Forger radios in and asks for permission for an emergency landing. Snidel immediately ordered the plane shot down, even using guided missiles that were banned in peacetime. He justifies using the weapons by claiming there "will be war soon enough." When informed that Anya hasn’t pooped the microfilm out, Snidel calmly orders Luka to gut her in the stomach.
While the plane is shot down, Loid and Yor Forger, who had snuck aboard the plane earlier, are both able to land on top of the airship. Snidel is initially in disbelief when one of his men reports seeing a woman running on top of the airship but orders her to be killed once he sees a live camera feed of it. He spends some time at the airship's bridge, sending orders to attempt to capture the two intruders. Snidel learns that Anya escaped and has used the toilet, but Domitri and Luka captured her again and has her sent to the bridge. There, Snidel has her tied up in a lower section and plans to disembowel her himself anyways, warning Domitri and Luka that if they fail to find the microfilm in the sewage tank, then he'll cut them like kebabs.
Eventually, Loid arrives on the bridge in disguise, but Snidel quickly recognizes him by his smell. A shootout begins. Snidel attempts to use a poison gas grenade to kill Loid, cruelly keeping a gas mask for only himself and none of his men, but Anya manages to open the bridge's windows and disperse the gas. While the gas covers the bridge momentarily, Loid tackles Snidel and disguises himself as him. After a brief scuffle, Loid defeats the warlord by dealing a chokehold to his neck until he collapses. When Snidel's men question which is the real one, Loid as Snidel threateningly orders all of Snidel's men to abandon the ship and move to the Republic of Albo, carrying the true Snidel with them.
Due to the chokehold Loid used on Snidel not appearing to be deadly (since it takes a long time to kill someone via choking) its unclear if he was killed or was simply knocked out, but it also doesn't help either that the aircraft was setting on fire at the moment and then crashed into the water. Making also difficult to know how Snidel and his men escaped.

Trivia[]
- Snidel is one of the only villains in the entire series to have seen Twilight's face while he's in action. Despite this, he still did not piece together the fact that Loid was Twilight during their fight. Given the non-canon nature of the film.
- Snidel was designed by Tatsuya Endo, the series' author.
