Snipe is a minor antagonist in Super Edition Graystripe's Vow and the secondary antagonist of A Clan in Need, the second book in Ravenpaw's Path novel trilogy from Erin Hunter's Warriors book series.
He was a high-ranking member of BloodClan and one of Scourge's personal guards during the latter's rule. Following his leader's demise, Snipe served under Fury and, following her resignation, Snake and Ice. However, after the two toms tried to blame BloodClan for all of their crimes, Snipe and the rest of BloodClan members drove their former leaders away.
Biography[]
Graystripe's Vow[]
Snipe participates in the battle against ThunderClan, where he and Brick attack Graystripe. As the two toms taunt their opponent, Brambleclaw joins in the fight and easily defeats Snipe.
A Clan in Need[]
Snipe is in charge of the group of BloodClan cats that attacks ThunderClan's hunting patrol on their way back to the camp. He sarcastically thanks them for catching the prey as he and his cats attempt to flee, but ThunderClan cats fight back. In the middle of the fight, he recognizes Barley and calls out to him, but soon enough ThunderClan reinforcements arrive and Snipe calls for retreat. Upon returning to the camp and saving Sorrelpaw from another ambush, Barley helps Firestar identify their opponents by mentioning how Snipe used to be one of Scourge's guards.
Upon arriving to the Twolegplace to save Mitzi's son, who has been kidnapped by BloodClan, Snipe is seen guarding BloodClan's hideout. During ThunderClan's patrol ambush on the BloodClan hideout, Snipe tries to reason with Barley, but gets beaten. Moments later, when Snake and Ice are being confronted by Barley and Violet, Snipe is among the BloodClan cats that overhear the brothers' attempt to push all of their crimes on them. He growls how they all thought that Hoot and Jumper were their leaders, before threatening the two to never come back for their own sake. As the brothers give final plea to their siblings to help them, Barley turns them down, allowing Snipe and the rest of BloodClan to chase them away.
Appearance[]
Snipe is a ginger-brown and black tom with a lighter brown muzzle and underside. He has torn ears, light orange eyes and a black collar which, like in the case of most BloodClan members, is studded with teeth and claws.
Personality[]
Snipe is a sadistic troublemaker. Like majority of BloodClan, he follows the belief of darwinism however, like his fellow co-members, he was visibly angered when Hoot and Jumper tried to put the blame for their crimes on him, muttering with anger that he thought of them as his leaders.
