Sobhan Murphy is a major antagonist in the Dodo Franchise.
She serves as a major antagonist of 2021 animated series Dodo. She serves as the secondary antagonist of season 1 and a minor character in season 2 and an overarching antagonist of the prequel short film Not The End Of The World. She is a death obsessed young girl whom attends O.Malley alongside Joe and his friends. She is also likes to collect but then return people's souls. She is also Lilly Scott's archenemy.
She is voiced by Katie Leung.
Biography[]
Season 1[]
Sobhan Murphy, is the same year as Joe and his friends but is extremely twisted in nature due to her obsession with death and the fact she is a soul collector. Rather early on, most people avoid Sobhan she to her weird and mysterious nature, she also quickly got Joe into trouble to the point of almost expulsion after Sobhan tricked Joe into assaulting an elderly geography teacher Mrs Nora. She also took a quick dislike towards Lilly Scott for unknown reasons. Though it's implied its because she is jealous of Lilly's popularity and being considered one of the most attractive girls at O.Malley, while she on the other hand is unpopular and considered unattractive by the boys around her.
However, she invites most of year 7 to her house for a Halloween party, though it was just a trap to collect several of her classmates souls. Though she intended to return them to their bodies eventually. Though she doesn't invite Steve Malek while also humiliating him just for fun (though he is far from being sympathized with). She then reluctantly, invites Joe and his friends Frisbo and Pete Wilson while plotting to take their and Lilly Scott souls through making them jump. That very night, she begins plotting to collect souls to have "fun" with and begins making several kids jump this stealing their soul. She makes Joe, jump though he retreats into the kitchen claiming he is getting some pickled flavoured crisps when he began to not physically feel right.
Soon after, she attempted to do the same to Frisbo but he also escaped to the kitchen where Joe was. They then come across a girl, (whom is actually Lilly Scott) about to get her soul snatched by Sobhan. Though Joe and Frisbo stop this before it could happen, though it still made Lilly jump but not to the point she losses her soul, much to Sobhan's anger. However, while she is angry Joe and Frisbo saved Lilly she develops something of a weird crush on Joe because of his bravery in saving Lilly. She is also unknowingly being stalked by Steve.
Much later Offscreen, Sobhan is offered a truce by Steve whom wants revenge against Joe and his friends while taking advantage of the fact that Sobhan is in love with Joe. He also takes advantage of Sobhan's anger at Lilly Scott due to Joe choosing her to be his girlfriend, which leads to her part in Steve's grand plan: to seduce Joe at the talent show and make Lilly think Joe was cheating on her this would angrily dump him and lead to Joe and Frisbo friendship crumbling because of Frisbo 's magic act Joe would help with. Steve learnt about Joe and Frisbo planned magic trick from overhearing a conversation between Joe and Lilly even though Frisbo requested that Joe tell no one. Though she doesn't know Steve intended to instead manipulate Joe rather than let him and Sobhan be together so Joe could help Steve with his master plan. She then, begins to flirt with Joe a day before the talent show, asking him out and flirting a little bit which, due to Joe's stupidity he falls for.
she then, the next day at the talent show purposely takes the seat Joe had saved for Lilly. She then, forcefully holds Joe's hand when Lilly arrives and quickly notices before running off justifiably upset at Joe's seemingly unthaiful acts. Sobhan even gives Lilly a sadistic smirk before Lilly runs off which Joe quickly notices. She is also, being unknowingly spied on by Steve so she doesn't back out of his plan. Shortly afterwards, Steve coldly demands for Sobhan to dump Joe, after listening up on Joe and Lilly breakup. Sobhan, initaly refuses due to her genuine feelings for Joe but only does so once Steve blackmails her with his known knowledge of her soul snatching activities. She then sadly dumps Joe in which he angrily tells he doesn't care at her because she and unknowingly Steve had ruined him and Lilly relationship which led to an upset Sobhan walking away solemnly while feeling rejected and even a little remorseful.
Season 2[]
Some time later, Sobhan appears to have somewhat grown out of her old ways, and is reserved to a minor character. Her only role, is in ‘Slugs of War’ in which she has a sleep over alongside Joe and several other people, in which they have fun, despite Joe and Frisbo’s own conflict. Though, Sobhan doesn’t seem to notice this, nor does she likely care, especially given her and Joe’s past grievances.
Personality[]
Sobhan is a weird young girl with an obsession with death and killing. It's also known, that she is rather knowledgeable about past killers and possibly even wants to be one when she grows up. She is also somewhat cold in nature, something which is very clear especially in the episode Pickled Onions as shown with Joe she collects her souls. Though, she treats her souls she catches surprisingly well such as allowing them many freedoms and keeping their bodies in good condition for when she eventually realeses them. Though she also gives them a memory loss affect on their brain, so she doesn't get discovered. She is also, becomes incredibly selfish towards the end of season 1 as shown with Joe she willingly yet rather foolishly decided to team up with Steve Malek just because she believes that working with him to help break up Joe and Lilly would mean that Joe would automatically fall for her.
Despite these traits of sadism, greed and foolishness, she does truly care for Joe despite how twisted her love for him is. As it is proven, that she would go above and beyond for him despite Joe not feeling the same way because of his relationship with Lilly.

She is pale girl, with black freckles all over her face, purple hair and eyes, the normal school blazer but unlike over students wears a very instead of white shirt under her blazer.
