Ah, Power Rangers, at last we meet! But you'll soon find your puny weapons are no match for my armor.
~ Soccadillo

The Soccadillo was the Armadillo-themed monster of the Evil Space Aliens and a recurring antagonist in the Power Rangers franchise. He served as the main antagonist of the episode "Second Chance", a major antagonist in the three-part episode "The Wedding" and a cameo antagonist in the two-part Power Rangers In Space series finale "Countdown to Destruction."

She is voiced by Brianne Siddall who later voiced Nimrod the Scarlet Sentinel, Vase Face and the Sinister Simian also in MMPR, Mechaterpillar in Power Rangers Zeo, Big Burpa and Metal Mangler in Power Rangers Turbo, Queen Machina briefly in Power Rangers In Space, Ruptor and Maronda in Power Rangers Lost Galaxy and Impus in Power Rangers Lightspeed Rescue.

Biography[]

Socadillo is created by Finster as a being able to absorb energy from the outside and become more powerful as Rita plans to feed him more energy to make him more powerful. He is invulnerable to the Power Rangers's Power Weapons and can also transform into the ball and roll at his opponents. He encounters the Rangers and easily defeats them until Zordon summons a weakened Tommy as the Socadillo can become invincible after an hour and is only able to be fefeated outside of his ball form. After being knocked down, Rita makes him grow and he overwhelms the Dino Megazord and Dragonzord only to be destroyed by the Power Sword.

Trumpet Top later summons an illusionary Soccadillo amongst other monsters as part of a plot to wear down the Rangers until Zordon sees through the plan which makes the monsters vanish.

After Rita brainwashes Lord Zedd and plans to marry him, she has Finster recreate many monsters to act as wedding guests which includes the Soccadilo. Once Finster brainwashes Alpha and has him send the Rangers to the Specter Theater, the Eye Guy is among the monsters who attack them and manages to overwhelm Tommy due to none of the Rangers having access to thier weapons. The Soccadilo leaves the Rangers briefly to attend Rita and Zedd's wedding where he catches the webbing bouquet in his mouth. After the reception, he returns to Earth with several monsters where he chase after the Power Rangers when they escape the Theater and he is one of six monsters to grow and fight the Thunderzords where he is destroyed by the Thunder Saber.

On Halloween 1995, Lord Zedd decides to throw a Halloween party to replicate the one he sees on Earth that year. Whilst he plans what monsters to use in his party, he recalls the complete failure of the monsters during his wedding which includes the Soccadillo.

Zeo[]

The Soccadillo is revived for a third time and seen in the audience at Prince Gasket's Machine Arena when Tommy forces Jason to fight Altor. However, the Rangers are later able to escape after Tritor destroys the shield generator which renders Gasket's plan a failure.

In Space[]

Two years later, the Soccadilo joins the Machine Empire and General Havoc's army which attacks KO-35 and the Phantom Ranger's home-world. He is somehow seen on both worlds interchangeably but somehow survives being turned to dust by Zordon's Energy Wave as he is later seen perfectly alive.

Lost Galaxy[]

Soccadillo is later seen as a patron of the Onyx Tavern when Trakeena flees there away from Scorpius and meets Villamax and Kegler.

The Soccadillo is last seen bidding on the Pink Quasar Saber on Onyx only for Karone to arrive and take it instead. What happened to him after this is unknown.

Personality[]

Just like rest of Rita's and Zedd's monsters, Socadillo was cunning, sneaky and unpredictable monster, that won't stop to destroy the Power Rangers. But he is faithful to Rita and Zedd. It is also possible that he reformed himself after Zordon Era, as he stopped his battles with the Rangers.
