~ Licona

Licona is a minor antagonist in La Leyenda del Chupacabras. He is an royalist soldier serving "Spanish Government" in command of Torreblanca.

This man is one of the most deranged and by power to authorize, abusing those who take hostage as he did by rebuking Leo San Juan by being helpless kid and waiting for the situation to shoot him pleasantly.

He was voiced by Andrés Campos.

Personality[]

Licona was shown to be more unhinged in comparison to his other soldiers, as he seemed to get glee and pleasure out of killing with no remorse. He even seemed to get a disturbing amount of satisfaction out of threatening Leo's life. It's implied that he may have performed unlawful killings in the past as his fellow soldiers had to emphasize that they didn't want any casualties under his watch. Because of his deranged and cruel personality, he's shown to be unpopular and generally disliked among his platoon.

Biography[]

He was seen for the first time on the "royal road" as a lookout, along with Zubieta and Martinez, awaiting the proximity of an insurgent. When I inspect the wagon in which Leo and the insurgents were going (pretending to be her relatives), she pointed her rifle at them, making sure they were not enemy troops under cover. One of the soldiers who discovered General Galeana fleeing towards the stream, the rebels would act to cover her escape and shoot the soldiers. Taking advantage of the fact that everyone was distracted, Licona pulled the young San Juan from the cart and held him, warning the Insurgents that he would die if they did not surrender. The Captain Mandujano ordered his men to drop their pistols, accepting his defeat against the Royalists. However, the soldier Licona still wanted to have the pleasure of assassinating Leo, but had to set him free when Zubieta constantly called his attention.

Returning to the camp with the captured insurgents, Licona is seen bringing Merolick as another prisoner, abruptly releasing him along with the others. When Leo is interrogated by Torreblanca, he hits García with his rifle in the stomach for interrupting the conversation. Having made the decision to shoot all the prisoners, Licona followed the general's orders to take them to prison.

During the journey, he was with his other companions leading the Insurgents to a jail located near an old church. Crossing the bridge that leads to the prison, Leo is distracted by what seems to be his brother Nando, but Licona hastens his pace without losing sight of him. Once they reached the prison he pushes Leo to where the others are to shoot him the same in morning, being taken outside to stand guard at the request of Larios.

He was apparently able to survive the Chupacabra attack in the hostage-taking, surprising Leo from behind to shoot him mercilessly. About to execute his big blow he hears something looming above him, being the same monster that takes him with his wings and takes him away to suck his blood (leaving him as a dry body without life like the rest of his squad).
