The Somnibot was the sloth and sleep-themed monster of the Machine Empire serving Klank and Orbus and the main antagonist of the Power Rangers Zeo episode "Rock-a-Bye Rangers" as well as an overarching antagonist of the episode "Mondo's Last Stand."

She was voiced by Barbara Goodson who also voiced Rita Repulsa and Mantis in Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, Orbus and Prince Sprocket also in Zeo, Notacon in Power Rangers Time Force and was the female voice of Mandilok in Power Rangers Wild Force.

Personality

The Somnibot was originally a very laid-back and sleepy monster who always spoke in a tired and worn out voice. After being rebuilt though, she was far more energetic and arrogant; even laughing off the Zeo Ultrazord.

Biography

Past

The Somnibot was manufactured by the Machine Empire, working under King Mondo and Queen Machina. With their monsters and never-ending army of Cogs, the Machine Empire was able to devastate and conquer entire galaxies.

Zeo

In 1996, King Mondo leads his Machine Empire to the Moon where they drive out Lord Zedd and Rita Repulsa but their invasion is ultimately stalled by the interference of the Zeo Rangers.

The Somnibot is later recalled along with Punch-A-Bunch, the Drill Master and the Leaky Faucet as monsters that fought the Zeo Rangers and lost. However, the Somnibot is not mentioned by name and only shown being destroyed by the Zeo Ultrazord. Frustrated with his constant past defeats, and prompted by Queen Machina's comment that they lacked his particular cunning, Mondo decides to destroy the Zeo Rangers himself only to be defeated by the Super Zeo Megazord.

The Somnibot is last seen in the audience at Prince Gasket's Machine Arena when Tommy forces Jason to fight Altor. What happens to her after this is unknown.

Trivia

• The Somnibot had one less form than her counterpart but that was cut due to never seeing combat and only appearing around a Japanese man.
• She is considered one of the most popular monsters in Zeo, due to her initial cute appearance and singing voice.
