This villain was proposed but was rejected by the community for not being heinous enough or lacks what is necessary to be a Pure Evil villain. Therefore, this villain shall be added to our "Never Again List", where proposed villains rejected by the community shall be placed to prevent future proposals of the same evil-doer. They can be proposed again (with the permission of an administrator) if new elements appear in their series that can change their status as non-PE villains. Any act of adding this villain to the Pure Evil category without a proposal or creating a proposal for this villain without the permission of an administrator will result in a ban. |

~ The Son to Anakin Skywalker. |
The Son is one of the immortal Force-wielding beings known as the Ones, and serves as the embodiment of the dark side of the Force, born over a million years before the events of the series. He appears as the main antagonist of the Mortis arc in Season 3 of Star Wars: The Clone Wars.
He was voiced by Sam Witwer, who also voiced Galen Marek and Emperor Palpatine in The Force Unleashed games, and later voiced Darth Maul in The Clone Wars and Rebels series. Sam Witwer also portrayed Ben Lockwood in Supergirl, Mr. Hyde in Once Upon a Time, Doomsday in Smallville, and Neil Perry in Dexter.
History
The Son first appears when Anakin Skywalker, Obi-Wan Kenobi and Ahsoka Tano arrive on Mortis. They meet the Son, the Daughter and the Father, the latter of whom tells them about the Light Side and Dark Side of the Force. The Son, in an effort to take control of the Force, attempts to kill the Father using Force lightning. Merely subduing him, he proceeds to corrupt Ahsoka against Anakin and Obi-Wan, albeit temporarily. This was to attempt to get Anakin to join the dark side while he retried to kill the Father. Just as he is about to kill his Father, however, the Daughter sacrifices herself, thereby throwing the Force out of balance.
After this, he tries to directly get Anakin to turn to the dark side by showing him his future. This vision includes such events as Darth Sidious, Order 66, Padme's death, Obi-Wan dulling Vader, the destruction of Alderaan and Darth Vader. The Son then succeeds in corrupting Anakin. However, this was also temporary, as the Father purified him later. In a final confrontation between good and evil, the Father sacrificed himself, thereby robbing the Son of his immortality. Anakin uses this advantage to kill the Son once and for all. The dying Father told Anakin that he has brought balance to Mortis, and he would do it again for the galaxy, because Anakin was truly the Chosen One.
Everything that the Son showed Anakin on Mortis did ultimaetly come true as Anakin became Darth Vader and the Galactic Empire rose to power.
Years later, a painting of the Son, Daughter and Father was found on the Jedi Temple of Lothal by the Empire.

Trivia
- There are rumors that the Son was originally going to appear in The Rise of Skywalker as the main antagonist in an early script written by J.J. Abrams with George Lucas. However, according to these rumors, Bob Iger asked Abrams to replace the Son with Emperor Palpatine as he feared that the audience who just see the movies and not the television shows would feel alienated.
