Char Aznable has declared Sonic.exe (SEGA) is to be renamed to Sonic.exe (Sonic the Hedgehog) for the following reason(s): When I was creating the page, I didn't know in first that images and videos he appears was posted by official Sonic the Hedgehog account instead of SEGA's account. Sonic.exe, referred to by fans as "Canon" Sonic.exe is a minor antagonist in the Sonic the Hedgehog franchise, serving as the main antagonist of some X posts which are a tie-in to him.
He is an enigmatic entity who seems to be some-kind of alter-ego of the famous blue-hedgehog, Sonic the Hedgehog himself.
Appearance[]
Sonic.exe resembles the original Sonic, but there are some noticeable differences. His fur and quills are dark blue, and his sclera is pitch black, with two glowing red dots. He also has blood under his eyes.
Personality[]
Instead of being jovial and caring, this Sonic seems to be sadistic and is heavily implied to enjoy hurting other living organisms. While he mocks real-life people, he also tries to hide his existence from people and secretly stalks them.
Origin[]
As many already know, Sonic.exe is actually not created by SEGA itself but by internet user Sir JC-the-Hyena. The thing that not many know is Sonic.exe was created before the famous Creepypasta written as an edit for original Sonic the Hedgehog game's main title.
Since the character became a very well-known urban legend and Creepypasta in both the Creepypasta and Sonic the Hedgehog fandom, SEGA noticed it and decided to make their own version of said character.
Biography[]
Sonic.exe makes his debut in Sonic the Hedgehog's official X account's 2017 Black Friday post. In post, Sonic is standing in Green Hill Zone, doing nothing, but then a black version of Big the Cat passes by him. After he passed, Sonic stares at the watcher, and the screen gets glitched, and afterwards he suddenly turns into Sonic.exe while the clouds turn red and the water turns into blood, heavily suggesting something bad happened. Sonic.exe flies towards an item capsule containing an Eggman mark, which Sonic.exe tries to collect, and he loses a life, falling offscreen.
In 2021, Sonic the Hedgehog's X account shares an image that contains some Sonic game cartridges with the words "YOU CAN KEEP ONLY 3." Before the post was published, Sonic.exe put, if not transformed into, the "SONIC.EXE" cartridge, and while the post was about to be shared, the person who was responsible noticed Sonic.exe and tried to write if the SONIC.EXE cartridge was really there before he/she got hacked, was forced to stop by Sonic.exe, and Sonic.exe published the post.

Trivia[]
- This version of Sonic.exe seems to be inspired by both JC-The-Hyena's (original) version and MY5TCrimson's version of the character.
- In the first post, Sonic.exe and his world's render were taken from the unfinished render ROM hack, Sonic 1.EXE Reborn.
- But this should not lead to the conclusion that Sonic 1.EXE Reborn is an official ROM hack, nor that Sonic 1.EXE Reborn's Sonic.exe is the same character as SEGA's. SEGA likely saw the character's different interpretations as the same and just used the ROM hack instead of creating the render themselves.
- The reason why he is called "Canon" is because of SEGA's "Everything is canon." post, which makes Sonic.exe canon to the lore too. It also avoids confusion with the official Sonic.exe term, which refers to works, characters, etc. done by owners or creators of Sonic.exe canon or approved by them.
- Even if Sonic.exe has an official version, Sonic Wiki Zone doesn't allow the character to have a page due to being "bloody and gory" and ignores that SEGA has their own version of the character.
