The Sons of Prometheus are major antagonists in the 2022 video game Horizon Forbidden West.
Founded by Asera, a rogue Oseram who later fled after Dervahl's attack under Sylens' orders, the faction comprised of Oseram mercenaries would later form an alliance with the Tenakth rebel Regalla by providing the latter machines and overrides to attack the Far Zenith base.
History[]
Foundation[]
After Dervahl's failed invasion of Meridian, the rogue Oseram known as Asera would later escape Meridian after the Battle of the Alight, but not before Sylens would encounter her and strike a deal, where she would accept later.
Accepting his mysterious dealing, Asera and her Oseram subordinates were given Focuses and machine overrides, as well as the ability to override machines, forming the Sons of Prometheus. Asera and her subordinates would later begin arming Regalla and her rebels Overridden machines to prepare for the coming threat: Regalla taking over the main Tenakth tribe and attack the Far Zenith base.
Defeat[]
However, the Sons of Prometheus's plans would later come to a grinding halt, when the Nora Huntress Aloy found out more about the faction and their operations.
After Aloy later waylays all of the Sons of Prometheus's operations in all of their Rebel Camps across Forbidden West, Aloy and later Erend would come across First Forge, an ancient ruin that serves as the faction's headquarters, to hunt down the leader Asera.
In a battle that killed all of their operatives, Aloy and Erend later encounter Asera and fought the rogue Oseram. After her death, the Sons of Prometheus were leaderless.
