Sooty the Dog is a supporting character in the Australian series of children's short stories Just! by Andy Griffiths.
He is the troublesome pet dog of Andy.
He was inspired by the real life dog of the same name who belonged to the books' author.

- In Murder, Bloody Murder! from Just Annoying!, he assisted Andy and his friend Danny in their attempts to annoy their neighbour, Mr. Broadbent.
- In The Dog Ate It from Just Crazy!, as the name of the story suggests, Sooty eats Andy's school project.
- In Cake of Doom from Just Disgusting!, Sooty steals Andy's cake that he was making for his mother and eats it, later dying from the rat poison the latter put in it by accident.

- In Sooty the Wonder Dog from The Dog Ate It, Sooty is informed that a giant cat known as "BAD CAT" is destroying the city, to which he says he doesn't feel like doing anything about it.
