Soundwave is a major antagonist in IDW Publishing's Transformers series. Originally a socal outcast unable to control his telepathic abilites, Soundwave would be mentored by Ravage, and go onto join the Decepticons. Loyally serving Megatron in their pursuit for equality, Soundwave had to make many moral compromises.
History[]
When Soundwave was born he was alone in the streets by Ravage,Lazerbeak,and Buzzsaw driven to isolation because he was unable to control his mind reading powers which drives him into insanity. Ravage decided to help Soundwave control his powers.He would later be supervised by Prowl to to look after the mines under Sentinel Prime's orders. He would later be under the heel of Ratbat who abused Soundwave and treated him like dirt until he met Megatron who helped him escape from Ratr#bat and take revenge as well turning him into a cassette loyal to him. He was Megatron's communications officer and his most loyal follower he would accopmany him in the war against the Autobots and even after Megaton left and became an autobot he still had consider him a friend. He would later become a servant of Galvatron who soundwave had a low opnion on.
