Sparky is the secondary antagonist of Glitch Productions' indie animated sci-fi psychological thriller series, Knights of Guinevere.

He is Frankie's employer and the owner of a salvage boat used for a scavenging business. He is determined to sell the android model of the titular character that he and Frankie found, but made a deal with Frankie and Andi to fix the android before handing it to him.

He is voiced by Kayleigh McKee.

Appearance[]

Physique[]

Sparky has a weathered and rugged appearance, marked with lines of age and experience. His hair is gray which is tied back into a ponytail, and has thick eyebrows and a bushy mustache. His frame carries a bit of weight from his age; he is husky and stocky by the years, no longer in his prime but still holding strong. Sparky's most noticeable feature is how he is missing one of his eyes which shows an empty socket.

Outfit[]

Sparky wears a muted green beanie that keeps his hair in check, paired with black earrings. He dons a collared shirt layered beneath a set of sturdy, dull orange overalls and dark brown shoes. The shirt is a dark gray tone with rolled-up sleeves and the overalls are well-worn with a large front pocket and broad straps fastened at the chest. One of the legs of his overalls is a lighter shade than rest. A darker undershirt peeks out from beneath his layers. He carries with him a sort of e-cigar which he is often seen smoking.

Personality[]

Sparky is defined by a combination of rugged opportunism and hardened pragmatism. He embodies the cynicism of the lower world beneath Park Planet, where survival is tied to scavenging, dealing, and seizing any opportunity to make a profit. His immediate instinct upon discovering the Guinevere android is not wonder, nostalgia, or sentiment, but the recognition of market value. To him, everything is measured in terms of what it can be traded or sold for, which reflects a deeply utilitarian mindset.

Despite his ruthlessness, Sparky has an oddly paternal quality toward Frankie. He berates her, calls her reckless, and tries to punish her physically, yet he also acknowledges her stubbornness and hardheaded resolve with a kind of respect. His willingness to strike a deal, even after being defied, shows that he is not blinded by pride. He admires boldness, even in defiance, as long as it still feeds back into his world of trade and profit.

His worldview is morally gray. He openly acknowledges that "the money is not in scraps, but in exotics," suggesting ties to darker dealings like drugs, and he does not hesitate to use intimidation and violence to enforce his authority. Yet his adaptability, humor, and calculated decisions also make him pragmatic rather than purely villainous. He is not motivated by ideology or cruelty, but by the cold arithmetic of survival, power, and profit in a collapsing society.

Biography[]

PILOT[]

Sparky appears as Frankie's boss during her work at the harbor, where he supervises the collection of scrap hauled in from the sea. When Frankie notices something unusual in the net, he dismisses her concern and orders her back to work. Later, as the workers sift through the junk, Frankie uncovers a Guinevere android. Sparky immediately recognizes its value and declares it a gold mine. He insists it should be sold for parts and refuses Frankie's request to repair it. Together, he and Frankie hide the android from Park Planet staff and transport it to a warehouse, where he reaffirms his plan to sell it.

Sparky returns later with his crew when Frankie and Andi attempt to smuggle the android into the Park Planet labs. He intercepts them at the elevators and confronts Frankie for stealing it. When challenged, he brandishes an electrified rod and attempts to punish her. During the struggle, Frankie causes him to drop the weapon, but Sparky demands that she fight him properly. Before he can strike, Andi takes up the weapon and forces him to stand down.

Following this confrontation, Sparky listens to their argument and ultimately agrees to a deal. He allows Frankie and Andi to repair the android under the condition that they return it to him once it is functioning, believing it can be sold for greater profit. He and his crew then depart, leaving the android in their possession but reminding them that he will remain in contact.
