Special Group «Crystal» or commonly known simply as Monolith Group In The Monolith Control Center are major antagonists in the Ukrainian FPS Survival Horror video game S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow Of Chernobyl.
Crystal is a Monolith squad responsible for the safety of Monolith himself. In reality, however, they guard the control room of C-Consciousness.
History[]
Strelok encounters the group the moment he enters the Monolith Control Center. The group is scattered all over the MCC sub-location. The player must makes his way through more than 20 Monolithians ambushing them from different sides, which can make a vison that its a endless amount of enemies.
Strelok makes his way to the first room, where he gets flunked from all three sides of the room. In order to continue, the player must fight his way through the corridors, all the way to the lab. The player must kill all the members to open the door to the control room, where they would encounter, the hologram of the Monolith and eventually will have to engage in a conversation with C-Consciousness Representative.
Membership[]
The special group have 30 randomly named members. Three snipers at the start, and the rest are scattered all throughout the corridors and next to the closed door.
Powers & Skills[]
- Weaponry: The members of the group are equipped with the most elite weapon from the Monolith arsenal, the Gauss Rifles and the legendary FT-200M.
- Exoskeleton: The majority of the squad are wearing exoskeletons, which makes them very dangerous, due to exoskeletons made to protect against gunfire.
Trivia[]
- This squad, is one of the few groups that was cut from the game, not before, but after its release.
- The squad still guards the Monolith with the same amount of people, but without the name "Crystal".
