~ Spencer Young to Iris West-Allen.
Spencer Young is a minor antagonist in season 5 of The Flash. A former co-worker of Iris West-Allen, Spencer quit believing ethics weren't important in getting the story, so she started the Spyn Zone blog. During the Enlightenment caused by the Thinker, Spencer's phone was infected with Dark Matter, giving her the ability to make people do what she blogged.
Spencer was played by Kiana Madeira, who would later play Kara Zor-El in My Adventures with Superman.
History[]
Spencer first began to use her phone's powers to cause CCPD officer Jones to set off a bomb at the charity softball game and have XS stop it. This allowed Spencer the opportunity to post it instantly. Iris would confront Spencer, being that she was worried this blog would alert Cicada to her daughter. This however had the opposite effect and only excited Spencer even more.
Young would then cause a fire at CCPN, in hopes that XS alone would put out the flames. To her irritation, Flash had arrived to, so she used her phone to send him to Las Vegas. Nora would be skeptical of Spencer's involvement, being she was such a fan of the blog. Iris would confront her daughter, where in the process, Nora would reveal that Iris put a dampener chip inside of Nora.
Young would post another bomb threat at the Central City Stadium, where in actuality it was to have XS kill the Flash. Iris would subdue her daughter with an inhibitor dart, allowing Flash to apprehend Young. Spencer's defeat would lead to Team Flash learning about Meta-Tech including the dagger wielded by Cicada.
