Spoil is a major antagonist from the adventurer manga and anime series Undead Unluck, serving as the titular main antagonist of the Spoil arc. He is the UMA of phenomenon-type, the rule, decay, and spoil, and the target for a quest assigned to Andy, Fuukko Izumo, and Shen Xiang, three negators and members of the Union.
He is voiced in Japanese by Nobuo Tobita and by Bill Butts in the English dub.
Appearance[]
Spoil's initial appearance was the stone statue of a tall angel placed inside the church of Longing Town.
When angered, Spoil's true appearance is a towering humanoid stone-like monster. He has sharp teeth and no eyes which are instead covered by the wings of the statue when he remains in his statue form. The rest of his body is muscular and has mostly a dark purple color along with stone-like structures around his shoulders and back that are connected to the statue on his face. Furthermore, his size can also be altered to the size of a house.

As the UMA of decay, Spoil enjoys turning his victims into undead, as he deems dying as an amazing thing.
Biography[]
Andy, Fuukko Izumo, and Shen Xiang are sent to the United States, in an isolated town called Longing by the Union where the goal of their quest is to kill Spoil. When Andy arrived and slaughtered almost every undead, he spared a female one alive to guide him. Andy agrees to make the zombie's wish come true, which is simply wearing a bride's wedding dress. Once the female undead is satisfied, she requests Andy to kill that statue right beside them, Spoil in his statue form. Spoil reveals himself after he gets cut and engages in a battle against the Undead Negator. Due to his size, Spoil destroys the church and starts of their fight before receiving the bell of the church in his face sent by Andy with a blow of his flying fist. Spoil then commands a gigantic hoard of zombies that rush from all directions to attack Andy among the debris of the church.
When Fuuko joined the battle, she unintentionally came into physical contact with a zombie, which caused Spoil to be damaged by her unluck. Andy understands that he can exploit this thanks to Fuuko's ability. The female zombie with Andy hugs Fuuko and runs at Spoil, only to lose her balance and fall into a bunch of gunpowders, which causes a large explosion. With Fuuko beginning to touch as many zombies as she can while they run toward Spoil, the UMA inhales them and upgrades into his second form He unleashes an extensive and destructive beam that shoots far enough to damage the Statue of Liberty far away. As Andy rushes to fight the UMA, he becomes aware that he now has a field that not only decays but also knocks down those inside. The UMA tells how the world used to have no rule of decaying with everyone now trying to live their life to their fullest. Fuuko shares her dream with Spoil with the digital numbers continuing to go down.
Shen comes to their aid by handing his Nyoi-Kinko Staff to Fuuko, telling her that she will be able to reach Spoil, who also starts wondering why his movements are doing the opposite before as a result of Shen's ability. Shen is hyped as he witnesses Spoil's great strength, believing that Victor may come out from Andy. Having figured out Shen's ability, Untruth, he manages to temporarily block his ability by tossing buildings around to prevent Shen from seeing him. Shen says that they need to collect Spoil's core to defeat him, but they first need to get rid of his spoil ability. Fuuko gets the idea, that they should send him to space. With Shen's assistant, Mui, they manage to locate the UMA, giving Shen the opportunity to send Spoil alongside Andy, who has turned into Victor to space as Spoil tries to kill him with his decay effect. Spoil is defeated when Victor fires two of his fingers at him are transformed into clones of himself to overpower him and collect his core. Upon returning to Earth, Shen requests Mui to blast Spoil away to finally complete their mission.
Spoil is later brought by Juiz to battle Burn. While Spoil initially attempts to use his Disintegration Beam on Burn, Burn is unaffected as fire does not spoil. The two UMA battle, during which Spoil insults Burn for being loyal to a human (Billy). After Burn explains his reasoning of wanting to meet God, Spoil calls his motivation silly. Later, he is brought back to Union HQ by Move and most likely imprisoned again. He was presumably killed during Union HQ's destruction in the Ragnarok arc.
