Spot’s Children are the secondary antagonists of the SpongeBob SquarePants episode “Spot’s Return”. They are a group of amoebas and as their name implies, these are the children of Spot.
Biography[]
At the beginning of the episode, Plankton looks for his pet amoeba Spot at the Chum Bucket. He finds a fat Spot and gives him a snack, and Karen checks on Spot because she thinks that Plankton might have fed him too much. After feeding Spot some more, Plankton show Karen Spot's insides with X-rays and finds out that Spot's pregnant. Karen explains that food-rich environments cause amoebas to reproduce. Plankton starts to panic l, while Spot generates other amoebas, Plankton is happy that Spot's okay and Karen smears the amoebas puppies on her screen.
Karen gets overloaded from so much cuteness. While she reboots, Plankton tries to control the amoebas, however, they end up destroying things in the lab, which causes Plankton to want to get rid of them.
SpongeBob walks down the street and makes bubbles in the form of an elephant and a caterpillar. When he sees a sign near the Chum Bucket that says "Free amoeba puppy with a order of chum", he asks Plankton what's going on. Plankton tells him that he's trying to to sell Spot's Children, and SpongeBob offers to help.
At Barg'N-Mart Plankton drives out two scouts so that he and SpongeBob can make room for their business. SpongeBob tells Plankton that he should start acting politely, but he doesn't want to as evidenced by him making two customers run away. SpongeBob takes some of the puppies, only to make a bigger puppy. Dave notices it and wants it, and SpongeBob gives it to him. A group of people wait for buy one and SpongeBob uses his body to make more, however, things don't go sell well as the amoebas start causing trouble by destroying stuff.
The puppies return to Plankton with stuff that they've stolen, which gives Plankton the idea to use them to steal the Krabby Patty secret formula. He is about to start training them, but Karen is still rebooting, and Plankton finds it difficult to train them alone until he calls SpongeBob to train them. SpongeBob shows the puppies how to do innocent things like sitting and barking, and Plankton shows them how to do other things for evil purposes, such as opening doors and using grenades.
After hours of training, Plankton introduces SpongeBob to the puppies: the Demolitions Puppy, the Acrobat Puppy, the Identical Twin Puppies, and the Comic Relief Puppy. SpongeBob realizes that all of this has to do with stealing the secret formula, and Plankton traps him in a cage to explain the plan he had in mind. Unbeknownst to SpongeBob, Plankton was explaining what the puppies were doing the whole time. While Plankton tries to open the bottle containing the formula, SpongeBob throws one of his eyes at Karen to make her fall and distract Plankton. SpongeBob then orders the puppies to do a trick that he taught them during their training.
The puppies free SpongeBob from the cage and he takes the formula from Plankton. SpongeBob throws some treats at him so that the puppies can eat them and get bigger. Their final size causes the restaurant to blow up, and the formula rolls over to Patrick, who gives the formula back to Mr. Krabs.
After Karen is finally done rebooting, she looks at the puppies on the floor of the restaurant again and makes a maze of them, which results in them becoming a bigger amoeba. The episode then ends with it falling on Plankton.
