Because of this, he is very light, and is able to jump very high, which he takes advantage of during his battle against Mega Man. He is made out of over 2,000 springs.
He has been voiced by Takeshi Aono in Mega Man Battle & Chase, who was also Dr. Wily's voice actor in that same game.

His special weapon is the Wild Coil, a pair of spiked springs that are fired both forward and from behind. In addition, due to his spring arms, he can stretch his arms to punch from a distance. If Mega Man gets too close, Spring Man will grab him and ram him up into the ceiling. He is immune to electric attacks, and if attacked by the Thunder Bolt weapon, he will become like a magnet and will try to drag Mega Man close to him.
