Squares are the main antagonists of the video game Red Ball 4. The squares look very simple, they are a square, with a gray color, while they have orange-black eyes and white teeth.
History[]
The red ball finds a red-square, which tells the red ball that the evil-squares changed his form into a square in their factory, where they bring red balls and change them into squares, possibly forcing them to work in factory, their goal is to rid the ball and the earth was turned into square.
The red ball then goes on its adventure to save the world of the Squares. Red ball will face Squares attacking and trying to kill it,. Red Ball uses tactics in destroying them, he will face against the first boos, the Green Hills Boss, a guardian, defeating The boss causes explosion.
Episode 2 plays in forest, the Squares has cut off tree, created traps with skilled Ninja Fighters going, in this place the leader is Deep Forest Boss (Samurai Box) who has the full control over forest and command over squares, being defeated will cause another explosion, to much leaving forest peaceful.
Episode 3 leads Red Ball to Factory, a main place of whole world domination, filled with many traps, robotic Squares and much more, the main villain are the Squares, but their Leader is Box Factory Boss, who has is mostly responsible for all events throught the story, as the main reason this Robot was overpowered, after his defeat and explosion, the remaining balls are freeded and destroyed the squares factory, turning the World back to it's original shape.
In episode 4 it is revealed that remaining survivors of squares escape by going to the moon, turning the moon into square. The red-ball goes on to stop them, as the squares got replacement for their deceased leader, the replacement (Moon Boss) changed moon and gained control over the gravity, however even there Red Ball destroys him and other squares but most of them were banished, left to cause trouble.
In Episode 5, Red Ball realized that Squares returned as they kidnapped his girlfriend, eventually finding out the secret Cave was built for the Squares, the red ball is forced to face off against Cave Boss (presumably the third replacement) who gets defeated and falls, but does not get destroyed, once the Red Ball rescues his girlfriend, they escape and the hole that leads to cave gets closed.
Personality[]
Squares may seem as mischievous dim-witted weaklings who gets destroyed for fun, however they should not be underestimated, they are played as serious and destructive yet smart villains who are blinded by their own egotism, they are willing to wipe out red balls by torturing them into another shape or simply murdering them, since they don't show any hesitation in murdering the player and are seriously implied to have murdered many more before the story itself started. Also the traps they use to protect their building leads to the unfortunate target being brutally murdered in ways such as drowning, electrocution, or being crushed, making them a very sadistic type of enemy to exist.
