Squidasaurus Rex

The Squidasaurus Rex is a minor antagonist in Nickelodeon's 27th feature film The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge Out of Water, the videogame SpongeBob HeroPants, and the spin-off series The Patrick Star Show.

He is an octopus and Tyrannosaurus rex hybrid who tries to eat anyone in his way. He is also the prehistoric ancestor of Squidward Tentacles.

Like his descendant, he was voiced by Rodger Bumpass.

Biography[]

The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge Out of Water[]

After Patrick goes back in time using SpongeBob and Plankton's time machine, he returns to the present and tells everyone to run. The Squidasaurus Rex then bursts out of the time machine and goes on a small rampage as Squidward points at the monster and shouts his name, only for him to stop after SpongeBob has a mental breakdown.

The Squidasaurus Rex is also seen in the crowd during SpongeBob's execution, and he says that he thought his friends were primitive. He can also later be seen trying to eat a Krabby Patty at the Krusty Krab, however, he is unable to reach his mouth because of his arms being too small.

SpongeBob HeroPants[]

The Squidasaurus Rex, refered to in this game as the Squidwardasaurus Rex, makes an appearance in this game as the boss of the prehistoric world. During the boss fight, the player has to defeat him by simply outrunning him until a cutscene plays and he falls off a cliff.

The Patrick Star Show[]

In "Late for Breakfast", he makes an appearance when GrandPat tells Patrick about the Patrolithic Period, and later makes another appearance during present day.

In "Mid-Season Finale", he is one of the contestants on Caveman Patrick's game show and is declared to be the winner after he eats the other contestants.

In "Host-a-Palooza", he runs out of the Time Closet and crashes through the walls of the Star house.

In "The Prehistoric Patrick Star Show", he makes an appearance as a cave drawing.

In "5 Star Restaurant", he makes an appearance during the rampage scene.
