The Squirrel Scouts are major recurring antagonists, usually anti-heroines, in Camp Lazlo. They are the female counterparts of the Bean Scouts and their dominant rivals. Unlike the Bean Scouts' camp (Camp Kidney), their camp (Acorn Flats) has facilities that are higher in quality, even having facilities and activities that Camp Kidney doesn't have.

Patsy, Almondine, and Jane Doe are voiced by Jodi Benson, who is known for voicing Ariel in The Little Mermaid. Nina, Ms. Mucus, and Gretchen are voiced by Jill Talley, who also voiced Karen Plankton from SpongeBob SquarePants.

Physical appearance[]

Their uniforms have scarfs French berets and a jacket which contains their badges.

Villainous actions[]

Despite their innocent appearance, they can be really aggressive, standoffish, manipulative, petty, sexist, and violent in particular towards the Bean Scouts.

In the episode "Beans Are from Mars," thanks to paranoia sparked by Ms. Mucus, they stalked and kidnapped Lazlo, Raj, and Clam as they thought they were aliens. The Jelly Beans then decided to pretend to be aliens to scare them into leaving them alone. But when the Squirrel Scouts figured out that they weren't aliens upon the Jelly Beans demanding ice cream, they tricked them into eating frozen glue.

In "It's No Picnic," after stealing the Bean Scouts' mud puddle, they competed with them over ownership of it by sitting on pinecone mounds. The Squirrel Scouts won, but only because Patsy cheated and used her heart eyes to push Lazlo off his own pinecone mound. However, the mud pile had already dried up, giving the Squirrel Scouts their deserved karma. However, they then tried to claim custody over a tree that the Beam Scouts called dibs on, causing it to fall onto Lumpus due to the combined weight of everyone climbing onto it,

In "Dosey Doe," the Jelly Beans invited the Squirrel Scouts to the Shin do de Nany Paloo. And during the party, they ridiculed the Bean Scouts. They then grew impatient and Patsy ordered the girls to mercilessly beat up the boys. After Jane comments that she was looking for Lumpus, his head explodes into fireworks, impressing the Squirrels enough to let the boys off the hook. Though Patsy knocks out Lazlo at the end of the episode.

In "Hard Days Samson," they chased Samson all over Camp Kidney after they realized that he looked like a famous idol from a magazine. They later did the same to Edward, although that was karma for making sure that the Squirrel Scouts always found Samson for his own amusement.

In "Dirt Nappers," they stole the dirt from Camp Kidney for their mud bath and refused to give it back, even after being told that Chip and Skip were on the verge of eternal slumber. After being insulted however, they started to throw all the dirt and mud at the Beam Scouts, unintentionally giving the boys what they wanted.

In "Lazlo Loves a Parade," they notice that the Bean Scouts are working on a float. Realizing that it was for a parade they didn't know about, they complained about it being too late to make their own float to beat the Bean Scouts' with. With that, they resort to stealing the Bean Scouts' float right before the parade to take credit for their work. However, karma gets to them when the town realizes that the float is made of stolen objects, causing the Squirrel Scouts to be blamed.

The episode "Squirrel Scout Slinkman" has some of their most vile actions to date. When Jane Doe and Ms. Mucus were out of town for a few days, they decided to assault and torture their substitute scout master, Slinkman, into leaving due to him being from Camp Kidney. They used his eyestalks as tennis balls, gave him an exaggerated makeover, and set up an obstacle course with traps and salt to make him do, with the salt most likely being an attempt to kill him. This causes Slimkman to see himself as a failure of a scout master. It is only after the obstacle course that the Squirrel Scouts realized that they took things too far. Because of their abuse towards Slinkman, "Squirrel Scout Slinkman" is often regarded as the worst episode of the show.

Trivia[]

  • The episode "The Book of Slinkman" hints at them being sexist.
  • In the flash game Totem Stole, the Squirrel Scouts stole the Jelly Beans' totem pole.
