St. Fabiola's Sex Trafficking Ring was an underage sex trafficking ring around St. Fabiola's Academy. Their crimes range from sex trafficking, prostitution, assault, serial rape, and murder. They are the main antagonistic group in the episodes "Manhattan Transfer" and "Unholiest Alliance " of Law & Order: Special Victims Unit (also known as Law & Order: SVU).
History[]
Frank Catalano founded the ring in the mid 90's with his protégé Patrick Mulregan. The would cater themselves to the underaged students in the school before deciding to profit from this debauchery and invited likeminded and influential friends to sex parties. To keep the girls complicit, they would blackmail them with incriminating pictures with the men with a promise to show their families.
Once Catalano was appointed to Bishop, he gave Mulregan the position of Monsignor and would give him complete authority of the school and the ring. Mulregan quickly settled into the leadership role, by enlisting Victor Akintola as a hitman should anyone try to escape or report to the cops about their activities.
Soon Vice Detectives Tom Russo and Anton Jefferson discovered the operation but rather than report it, they decided to join and serve as enforcers while treating themselves to the profits and the many victims while lying to their superiors. Mulregan also blackmailed Father Eugene O'Hannigan with knowledge of the latter's sexual relations with another man to get him to keep quiet.
"Manhattan Transfer"[]
SVU discovered the ring after acting on a tip from a nurse, leading to raid one of the ring's party. As a result, most of the guests were taken in for questioning, including Russo, Jefferson, and a nun Nina Kelly.
After Cara Guiterez, one of the girls was revealed to be talking with the cops, it was decided to silence her by sending Akintola to inject her with a fatal dose of heroin, she suffered an overdose and was said to have had a supposed relapse.
"Unholiest Alliance"[]
Mulregan later dispatched Akintola to kill Nina Kelly, a nun who was trying to help victims escape the ring.
After realizing the cops might be closing in, Mulregan arranged for Akintola to get out of the country by giving him a ticket and alias.
Once the ring was fully exposed, Mulregan attempted to place blame on O'Hannigan after noting he was cooperating with the cops. They also make him a pariah like his cousin but this backfires after O'Hannigan reveals the members of the ring didn't destroy the evidence but simply buried it. Mulregan's role was revealed and he was ultimately arrested in the church. SVU also detained Akintola when he tried to escape the country.
All of the higher ups (excluding Catalano who evaded captured ) are charged for their crimes and imprisoned for life while O'Hanigan was imprisoned for embezzlement. Many of their customers are also charged and some are revealed to be many judges, councilmen, and assemblymen. Meanwhile, Tucker's name was cleared.
