	~ Stag Beetle.

The Stag Beetle is the Stag Beetle-themed monster of the Evil Space Aliens serving Lord Zedd and a supporting antagonist in the Power Rangers franchise. He serves as the main antagonist of the episode "The Beetle Invasion", a supporting antagonist in the first part of the four-part episode "Ninja Quest", and a minor antagonist in the two-part Power Rangers In Space series finale "Countdown to Destruction."

She is voiced by Wendee Lee who also previously voiced Scorpina and later voiced the Vampirus in his second appearance and Witchblade all also in MMPR, the Impursonator in Power Rangers Zeo and Redeye in Power Rangers Time Force.

Personality

The Stag Beetle was a cunning, devious and ruthless monster that took great pride in destroying the Power Rangers. She was shown to be abusive and contemptuous and enjoyed abusing the Rangers. However, she was also very loyal to Lord Zedd.

Biography

The Stag Beetle is created by Lord Zedd from the drawing on a flyer outside the Angel Grove's Youth Center for Stone Canyon's broomball team to drain Tommy's remaining powers and use it to destroy the other Rangers. The Stag Beetle could drain the energy of his enemies and use it against them as well as project energy bolts from his claws and pincers and shock his foes with claws. Zedd sends him to battle the Power Rangers. The Stag Beetle attacks Tommy and obtains the power of the Green Ranger before overwhelming the other Rangers and nearly destroying them until Alpha creates the Green Energy Transducer for Tommy to use against Stag Beetle. Tommy uses the Transducer and absorbs his stolen energy, regaining some power and weakening the monster which allows the other Rangers to defeat the Stag Beetle with the Power Blaster. Lord Zedd enlarges him with a Growth Bomb and he is able to overwhelm the Thunder Megazord until they reroute power, punch down the monster, cut off the Stag Beetle's horns with the Thunder Saber and finish him off with an energy slash.

Trumpet Top later summons an illusionary Stag Beetle among other monsters as part of a plot to wear down the Rangers until Zordon sees through the plot and withdraws them.

A year later, Rita Repulsa's brother Rito Revolto comes to Earth with a plan to destroy the Thunderzords so Zedd has Finster recreate several monsters including the Stag Beetle to help him. After hiding in the woods, the Octophantom is enlarged and, although he is defeated early in the fight by a punch from the Thunder Megazord, he recovers after the fight and cheers with Rito and the other three monsters following the destruction of the Rangers' Zords and powers. Soon after, he is in attendance with the other monsters at the Moon Palace after destroying the Thunderzords, but is not seen again afterwards.

In Space

Two years later, the Stag Beetle is seen in the tavern on Onyx when Andros visits the planet to take the Mega Voyager cards from Darkonda. He tries to stop the Red Ranger when he flees the planet but is pushed out when Andros passes close by.

Later the same year, the Stag Beetle joins Rita and Zedd's army which attacks a planet in the M-51 Galaxy and defeats Trey of Triforia. The invasion of the universe is successful but the Octophantom and the rest of the monster army are turned to dust by Zordon's Energy Wave.
