In the post-credits, Leo, after leaving Guanajuato by cart, wakes up alone in the middle of a desert at night and a crow flies near him to perch on a branch, warning him that he is close to meeting El Charro Negro.
La Leyenda del Chupacabras[]
At the beginning, the same scene is repeated in which the crow flies near Leo as in the previous movie.
In this post-credits scene, the stallion is seen being ridden by El Charro Negro who, from a hill, watches Leo, Nando and Teodora camping in a forest, letting out a short whinny.
La Leyenda del Charro Negro[]
Shorts[]
The hellish stallion appears in "Teaser Trailer", a scene which is not part of the film itself, where he is seen with his master on a stone bridge. When he notices the presence of Leo San Juan, the horse neighs to warn the Charro Negro.
The horse can be seen in the unpublished scene of "Where did he take them !?" (event prior to the movie), leaving a flaming portal next to El Charro Negro to catch Don Andrés whom they have been chasing, also continuing with the two alebrijes in the corn field. Standing on two legs the horse begins to whinny and leaves with its owner to proceed kidnap Xochitl.
Film[]
As soon as the film begins, the horse slowly leads the Charro with Xochitl on his back, after an intense chase. Leaving the girl in Resendo's hands, the horse silently moves away with its master towards the exit. Additionally, the horse is shown in the introductory theme song.
After El Charro collected Rupertino's debt, he whistles toward the horizon: opening a gigantic fire portal from which his black horse emerged from him. When Leo made a pact with El Charro Negro to recover Beatriz's soul, he accepted, directing his horse towards the portal. Inside the underworld it was not known where the horse went while the Charro was waiting for Leo and his team, except that would have left one of her rubbish that Teodora would step on the way to the hacienda. When Leo and his friends are inside, there are paintings of the previous Charros Negros from different periods accompanied by the same horse.
On the earth, Beatriz and Ana were preparing the bottles with elixirs. Through the window of the caravan, a mysterious crow perches, scares Ana and squawks at Beatriz: warning her that she does not have long to live. The gypsy throws the bird away while Beatriz falls faint, so the raven perches on a tree branch.
When he falls into the trap, Leo hears that in the corridors the horse draws his attention, as a sign that the moment has come to be the new successor of the Charro Negro. The animal retreats when the last painting would show the boy riding on it.
Leaving the hacienda, Leo, possessed by the Charro Negro, whistles at the horse that appears behind a rock, bending down to be ridden by the new successor. After Leo fought against his friends in the form of Charro, the horse, he is no longer seen without knowing his current whereabouts.
At the end of the film, the same black crow is seen observing a Puebla at night; leaving the unknown whether Leo and his friends got rid of the clutches of El Charro Negro.
