Biography[]
Beginnings[]
It was told that Stalyan was once partners with Eugene (who previously came under the name Flynn Rider) during their days as thieves; she even proposed to marry him to extend their relationship further. However, as time goes by, Eugene grew tired of Stalyan's controlling nature; as she claimed that she knows what's best for Eugene, and that she forced him into helping her steal a rare large diamond in the town of Pincosta, ignoring Eugene's objections as he wanted nothing to do with it. Deciding now that Stalyan isn't worth hanging out, Eugene furiously calls off the engagement by leaving Stalyan at the altar.
Even since this event, Stalyan grew bitter towards Eugene and vowed to torment him if they ever saw each other again; even the Baron swears to make Eugene pay, refusing to believe that his daughter's controlling nature is what drove Eugene to dump her in the first place.
Beyond the Corona Walls[]
Several years later, Eugene and his friends Lance Strongbow and Shorty are captured by the Baron's right-hand man Anthony the Weasel, who then brought them over to the Baron and Stalyan. Despite admitting that she wanted to make Eugene pay for supposedly breaking her heart, Stalyan admits that she still has feelings for Eugene, to which the Baron offers a proposition: Eugene must honor Stalyan's wishes by marrying her, or he, Lance and Shorty will die. Eugene refuses, saying that he's already in love with the Coronan princess Rapunzel as he rescued her from Mother Gothel and returned her to her parents King Frederic and Queen Ariana. However, Stalyan admitted that she already knew of the events, but she makes Eugene doubt by asking him if it's right for Rapunzel to give her freedom to be with him.
To ensure of Eugene's cooperation, the Baron poisons Lance with a venomous Kai spider, offering the antidote to Eugene if he agrees to marry Stalyan. Having no choice, Eugene is forced to accept their demands by reluctantly announcing his engagement to Stalyan to the people of Vardaros, much to the distraught of an arriving Rapunzel, Cassandra, and Hook Foot.
During the wedding ceremony, Stalyan is being escorted to the altar by the Baron, who is then about to officiate the wedding. However, Rapunzel, Cassandra and Hook Foot interrupt the wedding, and Eugene confessed to Rapunzel that the Baron is coercing him to marry Stalyan by poisoning Lance, prompting an annoyed Baron to set his henchmen to to stop the heroes. Stalyan attempts to escapes away with a captive Eugene, but Rapunzel sets her pet chameleon to startle Stalyan, freeing Eugene in the process. The Baron then ends up being poisoned by his Kai spider and smacked down by Rapunzel after a brief swordfight with Eugene, and the antidote ends up being taken by Pascal, who uses it to cure Lance. As Anthony and the rest of the thugs are forced to leave, Stalyan carries her injured father away from Vardaros to find more of the antidote, promising to settle things with Eugene and Rapunzel.
The Eye of Pincosta[]
It was revealed that Stalyan broke ties with her father after the latter lost control of Vardaros, and that she decided to move on without him. It was also told that Stalyan sold the Pincosta diamond to a wrestling promoter named St. Goodberry. When Eugene is arrested for his involvement for the theft, Rapunzel made a deal with the Pincosta sheriff: she will find and retrieve the diamond in exchange for Eugene's release. The sheriff accepts, but warns that Eugene will be forced to work in the copper mines for life if Rapunzel fails. After being informed about the theft, Rapunzel decides to seek out Stalyan for help.
Rapunzel and Stalyan head out to Mr. Goodberry, who offers a deal: they must participate in his wrestling match and put up a good show for the audience, and in return, he'll give the diamond back. However, Stalyan double-crossed Rapunzel by revealing that she had stolen back the diamond and is now intending to use it to free Eugene and win him back for herself, much to Rapunzel's dismay as she is left to fight on her own.
Eventually, Stalyan develops a change of heart after finding a letter that Rapunzel wrote to her about having good in everyone, encouraging her to return and help Rapunzel put up a good show in the wrestling match, thus earning the diamond. Deciding to move on as Eugene is in love with Rapunzel, Stalyan returns the diamond to Rapunzel, who then returns it to Pincosta to set Eugene free.
Flynnpostor[]
Stalyan doesn't appear in the episode, but is mentioned by the Baron, who intends to kill Eugene and a thief named Brock Thunderstrike (who looks exactly like Eugene, but has a mustache) for making him lose his criminal empire, ignoring the fact that Brock has nothing to do with it.
Upon confronting an arriving Rapunzel, the Baron swore that when he's done with her, he'll wish that Eugene should've stayed with Stalyan. Rapunzel furiously stated that Stalyan has moved on and demanded the Baron to do the same, but the Baron refused by saying that he's got nothing to move on to and tried to kill Rapunzel with boulders. However, Eugene and Brock freed themselves and defeated the Baron, who ends up being locked away in prison for life.
