Stansfield is a playable character in the 2019 first person shooter video game Call of Duty: Mobile and the main antagonist in the Mobile comic book series. He is a former CIA agent turned leader of the Dark Covenant who hired Cecilia "Dame" Perrin, Anna "Artery" Buckler, Édouard "Templar" Couteau, Dark Rider/Kryptis, Witch Doctor, Dark Shepherd, and Krystof "Firebreak" Hejek.

Background[]

Stansfield and Russell Adler fought in Siberia in the 80s or 90s, A team of CIA Agents leaded by Adler infiltrated a soviet base and assisted Adler in the infiltration and recovered Soviet Intel about The Five Knights performed in the present. during the exfil, the team was ambushed by soviet troops, and was almost killed by a soviet soldier. But his sacrifice helped the team escape and completed the mission.

Stansfield was still alive and brought in Vorkuta by the soviets. He was experimented on by Frederich Steiner, who turned him "an enemy into a friend". Although the experiment didn't go as planned, It turned Stansfield into "a madman obsessed with carnage." When the prisoners of Vorkuta rioted, Stansfield used the chance to escape.

Later on, Stansfield founded the Dark Covenant, a militaristic cult, and gain infamy as a ruthless cutthroat leader and recruited Cecilia "Dame" Perrin, Anna "Artery" Buckler, Édouard "Templar" Couteau, Kryptis (aka Dark Rider), Witch Doctor, Dark Shepherd, Krystof "Firebreak" Hejek and other Dark Covenant Brutes.

Call of Duty: Mobile[]

In Panama, The Dark Covenant was summoned by Cecilia "Dame" Perrin and introduces Stansfield, Anna "Artery" Buckler, Kryptis (aka Dark Rider), Witch Doctor & Dark Shepherd. When Templar betrays Rorke, Stansfield joins and assists the covenant members in by taking out his mercs. When Rorke tries to make a run, He prevented Rorke from escaping by blowing up his ship, leaving him trapped with them. Later On, Dame Kills Rorke by slitting his throat.

Later, Ghost & Templar would attempt to find Stansfield, and after interrogating several Dark Covenant members, tracked him down to Alaska. Later on, Ghost, Templar, Vagr Modir and her wolf, Soap, Alex Keller and Sliver traveled to Alaska to Kill Stansfield. Later on, Ghost entered and confronted Stansfield, with Stansfield commenting he wanted to see the "new me", claiming that Ghost lived for the thrill of the battle. After a short fight, Ghost gouges his eyes and claimed no more "half measures" should be used against threats like Stansfield, and then snapping his neck, killing him.
