The Starman Juniors are major antagonists in the Mother series, two of which serving as bosses in Earthbound Beginnings and Earthbound.
Like all other Starmen, the Starmen Juniors are loyal servants to Giygas, though they are also their weakest variant. The two specimens encountered in the series are also some of the first enemies the player encounters in both games. In Beginnings, the player encounters a pink variant at the Choucream Zoo, where it is making a strange noise that agitates all of the animals. In Earthbound, a gray variant is encountered shortly after the player meets Buzz Buzz.
Appearance[]
These Starmen look nearly identical to all others, with the primary difference being that they are much smaller in size. They seem to take on either pinkish or grayish colorations.

Earthbound Beginnings[]
In Earthbound Beginnings, a Starman Jr. serves as the game's second boss. It is encountered in the Choucream Zoo where Ninten goes when there is commotion amongst the animals there. This Starman Jr. resides in a capsule found at the top floor of the Superintendent's Office. After it is defeated, all of the animals in the zoo are at peace, and it cannot be encountered ever again.
Earthbound[]
Another Starman Jr. serves as the first boss of Earthbound. It is encountered shortly after Ness had met Buzz Buzz. It explains that Giygas had sent it back in time in order to stop Buzz Buzz from finding the prophesized heroes that would stop him.
