Statues are supporting antagonists in the Korean manhwa and light novel series Solo Leveling. Them and the Statue of God are statues and magical beasts of the Double Dungeon that are created by the Architect, the hidden boss of the same dungeon. They are modeled to kill any hunters who fail to follow the Carthenon Temple's Commandments.
Hostile Statues[]
All statues remain motionless for a few minutes as hunters enter the dungeon. When they detect a hunter nearby, especially if it attempts to leave the place, it brutally slaughters without hesitation as it reveals itself to be alive to its victims before regaining back to its original position.
The smaller statues wait as the boss of the dungeon makes the hunters complete the first law - "Worship the Lord".
Once up for the second phase - Praise the Lord, the Statue of God will get up of its throne and begin to walk toward its victims, crushing anyone who fails to avoid his feet. Now, the smaller statues with weapons will slaughter anyone who runs near them. Once the second phase is done, all statues will walk toward the center for the final survivor until one of them pierces that victim and throws him on the altar like what happened with Sun Jin-Woo.
"Friendly" Statues[]
The hostile statues are classified as those with weapons with the exception of the statue of God as there are "friendly" statues that wield instruments or overall make music. These statues unlike their hostile comrades have the priority to protect or prevent the dungeon's boss or other statues from killing hunters by playing music once one of the victims is standing near them. However, if one or more hunters standing nearby, these statues will not be operated.
