Steerwoman Shelinda is one of the secondary antagonists of the Seijuu Sentai Gingaman, serving as the second-command and navigator of Balban and Captain Zahab's right-hand woman.

She was portrayed Kei Mizutani.

Biography[]

Past[]

Shelinda's prehistory and circumstances, when she joined the Balban, are unknown. However, it's known that she joined the Balban millenias before the events of the series and became one of Zahab's top generals. At some point, she and other members of the evil pirate gang were captured by the Earth sorcerers of the magical Ginga forest and trapped under the Earth, preventing Balban from continuing their bloody conquest of the planets throughout the universe. Shelinda first appeared in the beginning of the season, when she and other Balban leaders were freed from their eternal slumber and started taking over the Earth.

Seijuu Sentai Gingaman[]

Shelinda and her fellow Balban generals tried and created multiple schemes and plans of unleashing and releasing Demon Beast Daitanix and having their monster destroy the Earth, just like the pirates did to other countless planets, but Gingaman frequently foiled their plans, leaving the invaders with nothing. Shelinda first appeared and gaved the Gingaman, when the steerwoman tried to prevent Ryuoma and Hayate from spoiling Sambash's plan. She and her Yartots soldiers confronted the two Rangers on the top of the mountain and threw Shell Bomb toward them. The bomb exploded and threw the Gingaman off the cliff in the river.

Shelinda was searching for the two men whereabouts and she heard Hayate's flute voice from all directions. The steerwoman used her own shell flute to dispel those from false direction, but she only detected Ryouma, because Hayate was then far away from her. Furiously, the Balban lieutenant attacked Ryouma and left the Yartots to murder GingaRed. After that, the villainess stayed to battle Hayate. However, much to the villainess's dismay, GingaGreen succeeded in stopping Sutoijii's soundwave. Shelinda then attacked and tried to kill Hayate, but GongaGreen managed to win and left a wound on her arm. This started her rivalry between Ginga Green and the pirate villainess.

When Iliess appeared and started using her own methods of reviving Daitanix, the evil sorceress started her final scheme to turn the humans of Tokyo into stone by drawing their lifeforce to resurrect Daitanix. This plan of the alien witch almost succeeded and Shelinda, who thought that this would be her last chance to vanquish her Gingaman rival, arrived to the battlefield and faced Hayate, while the rest of the Gingaman were busy clashing with Iliess's monster GaaraGaara. Despite Hayate was slowly turning to stone, Shelinda claimed that this didn't matter to her, since it was Space Pirate's way. The steerwoman took her sword to battle GingaGreen and started fighting Hayate. The villainess easily gained the upperhand and was about to kill the Green Gingaman if Yuuta wouldn't interfere and save his friend Hayate.

Being enraged, Shelinda destroyed the roof with her energy blast, which caused the pieces of stone to crash on Yuuta. Villainess was laughimg at him callously and Hayate, who witnessed her action, was fueled with rage and grabbed her sword and launched towards the evil steerwoman. Despite the villainess attacked GingaHreen with her energy blast, Hayate managed to come near Shelinda and slashed on the left side of her chest, causing her to fall down to the floor. Despite her injuries, the pirate general still kept calling for Hayate to leave and face her. However, much to the villainess's disappointment, the Green Gingaman escaped, saving Yuuta and taking the boy with him.

During the finale of the series, approximately at the same time of Battobas's final scheme, Shelinda again came tonaction and again tried to find and finish her rivalry with Hayate and other Gingaman. After Battobas failed his revenge scheme to kill Bucrates, Shelinda found Bucrates and mortally wounded the former Balban advisor. However, Bucrates was saved by Hyuuga and the two enemies of Balban managed to escape. The villainess pursued them and brought a small group of Yartots to find and kill both of them. Shelinda found their base and ordered her troops to attack, but Bucrates sacrificed himself, by blowing up his body and totally killing all of Yartots, and helping Hyuuga escape and flee. Shelinda found Bucrates's glasses left among the ruins, and the villainess was heavily wrathful again.

Later, during the final battle with the Gingamen and Black Knight, Battobas and his Yartots fought the superhero team, and Shelinda decided to use her last chance to get rid of Hayate. The piare warlady appeared and attacked GingaGreen, forcing Hayate to engage into their last duel. After the long fight, Hayate managed to defeat her and mortally wound Shelinda with his Hurricane Gust technique. However, despite being fatally wounded, the villainess refused to admit her defeat and Shelinda gathered all of her remaining strength in the futile effort to strike Hayate down, only to eventually meet her demise when she exploded. Only her sword remained, which was taken back by the Yartots to Zahab. The sword was later destroyed when Zahab's castle was destroyed by Bull Taurus.
