Stephen Martinson is a minor antagonist in the 9-1-1 Season 6 episode "Animal Instincts".
He is a man who tracks down his ex-wife Lourdes and his daughter Claribelle, intending to kill the former and kidnap the latter.
He was portrayed by Lane Miller.
Biography[]
Past[]
At some point, Stephen married an immigrant named Lourdes Ruiz, and they had a daughter named Claribelle. Stephen promised Lourdes that he would help her get a green card, but he never did and instead became abusive to her. Eventually, Lourdes ran away with Claribelle.
Animal Instincts[]
In the present day, Stephen tracks down Lourdes and Claribelle to their motel room in Los Angeles. Lourdes tells Claribelle to go into the closet and call 9-1-1 with Maddie Buckley answers the call. Claribelle doesn't know the address, but Maddie's coworker Noah Carmack suggests looking for recent noise complaints, which allows them to find the address and send the police.
Maddie then advises Claribelle to let Stephen take her when he finds her. Stephen then opens the closet door and grabs Claribelle. But when Claribelle sees her mother lying bloody on the floor, she fights back and kicks Stephen in the groin before escaping through the front door. Stephen pursues her, but a cop is waiting and points his gun at Stephen's head.
In the aftermath, Stephen is presumably sent to prison for his crimes. Meanwhile, Claribelle and Lourdes recuperate in the hospital, where they are visited by Maddie who introduces them to an immigration lawyer who works with victims of domestic violence.
