~ Steve Bannon encouraging "Donald Trump" to prank call countries. |
Steve Bannon is a supporting antagonist in several Saturday Night Live sketches, a parody of former President Donald Trump's former White House Chief Strategist.
In the Morning Joe Michael Wolff Cold Open, he was portrayed by Bill Murray, who also played Grimm in Quick Change, Frank Milo in Mad Dog and Glory, Ernie McCraken in Kingpin, Kenneth Bowden in Wild Things, John Bosley in the 2000 Charlie's Angels film, Mayor Cole in City of Ember, Carson Welch in Aloha and Krylar in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania.
SNL made sketches about Bannon before and after the real-life Bannon was fired from his position.
Personality[]
Steve Bannon is one of the more enigmatic characters in SNL sketches, but when he does appear, he is very ominous and speaks in a gravelly voice. He rivals with Kellyanne Conway and she appears to strongly dislike him, as seen when Trump asked her to send him in to start the security briefing, she stepped away from him and quickly left the room.
Bannon also appears to be very mischievous, as he encouraged Donald to prank call other countries, starting with Australia, where Trump declares war on them just because Turnbull saluted Trump for allegedly accepting Syrian refugees when Trump actually turned them away, and lastly Zimbabwe for Trump in a failed and rather pathetic attempt to heckle their angry murderous dictator Mugabe all just to show them who's boss. After that, Bannon takes Trump's seat, and chuckles evilly, showing that Trump was his puppet for the entire election and that Death himself is the true acting President of the United States.
In the Phoenix Rally cold sketch, Bannon getting fired in real life was referenced. Bannon swore that he will kill Trump as revenge claiming he has become more powerful.
Villainous Acts[]
Steve Bannon has committed several villainous acts throughout the show's series of sketches and cold opens, which include, but are not limited to:
- Lying to the press during the election to become Donald Trump's chief strategist.
- Scaring Kellyanne Conway.
- Collecting Souls during his spare time.
- Secretly running the White House.
- Lying to the press on a consistent basis.
- Encouraging Donald Trump to prank call Australia, Germany, and Zimbabwe.
- Trump mentions that he once caught Bannon eating a live pig in the Roosevelt Room.
