~ Steven to Cherie and Halk. |
Steven is a supporting antagonist of The Wall segment of Solar Opposites. Steven was shrunken down by Yumyulack, where he began his new life as a mouse-milk supplier for the other residents of The Wall. After his mouse friend Molly drowned during the Usurpation of The Duke, he swore revenge on the Wall by raising an army of mosquitoes to eliminate half of its population.
He is voiced by Rainn Wilson.
Personality[]
Steven seemed to have taken a liking to being inside of the Wall, becoming a generous farmer who provided Milk for everyone in his region. He also gave milk to the less fortunate, including a boy who could not give him anything in return. More than anything, Steven loved his beloved pet mouse Molly, whom he lived and slept with. He risked his life and was willing to let himself drown before he let Molly die.
After losing Molly, Steven became a nihilistic maniac who sought to eliminate dozens of people as revenge for what happened to her. He seemed to have been driven somewhat mad, encasing himself in a citronella candle and making his mosquito minions kiss for his own pleasure.
Biography[]
Terry and Korvo Steal a Bear[]
After being shrunken down, Steven began his new life by befriending a giant mouse whom he named Molly. He and Molly lived together in a house made up of popsicle sticks. Everyday, he would milk Molly and share it with the rest of the local residents. One of the young men that he befriended took an interest in the "Letters of Tim". This upset Steven because he believed the idea of a revolution to be absurd. He was later seen that day selling "Mouse-nog" during the festival honoring Jessie's birthday.
Later during the revolution, Steven decided to join in the battle, believing that what he should help "fight for what's right". During the revolution, The Duke flooded the lower levels, which is where his house and Molly were located. Steven swam down to save her, freeing her from the flooded him and attempting to swim with her to a higher level where a submarine was located. However; Molly was unable to fit through the latch. Steven tried his best to push her through, but he was unsuccessful. Molly ended up giving Steven her pink ribbon, and then accepted her fate.
The Rays That Turn People Into Various Things[]
Steven was revealed to have been alive, living inside of a giant citronella candle. After Cherie and Halk stumbled into his lair, he introduced himself and took them his backstory. After the war, Steven had gone back to the lower levels in an attempt to find Molly's body. What he found instead were mosquito larvae, whom he incubated and raised to adulthood. He told the two that he planned to eliminate half of the Wall's population using the mosquitoes, whom he controlled with a mosquito skull. Steven then ordered two of his mosquitoes to stab the two of them in their legs, immobilizing them. Eventually, he ordered the mosquitoes to open up the hole that they were going to use for their invasion. Little did he know that it was infested with spiders, which stormed his lair and attacked the mosquitoes.
Halk and Cherie were then able to break free of their captors, causing Steven to come out of the candle and fight the two of them. Steven would eventually be bested when Halk knocked the candle on top of Steven. He was crushed by the burning part of the candle, causing his skin to boil as he was slowly encased by the candle's wax.

- Steven's plan to eliminate half of the Walls population was critiqued by Cherie and Halk to have been very similar with Thanos' plan from the Marvel Universe.
