Steven Calhoun is a minor antagonist in the 2019 Amazon TV adaptation of the comic book series The Boys.
He was the former Senator from Oklahoma later elected Speaker of the House of U.S. Representatives following contentious 18 rounds of voting. He becomes the President of the United States of America at the end of Season 4.
He was portrayed by David Andrews.
Biography[]
Following the assassination of Victoria Neuman and the arrest of President-Elect Robert Singer on allegations of ordering it, Calhoun ascends to the presidency of the United States. Acting as a figurehead for Vought, one of his very first acts as president is to declare martial law nationwide. This decision comes in response to the widespread civil unrest caused by the contested presidential election, the exposure of Vice President-Elect Victoria Neuman as a Supe, and his own controversial rise to power. Calhoun also deputizes Homelander and his army of Supes, effectively giving him total control over the U.S.
