Stinger is a former member of Jark Matter, the younger brother of Scorpio who is actually to be a false antagonist and a true protagonist in Uchu Sentai Kyuranger.
Few episodes later, he redeems himself and becomes a hero before joining the team to fight against extraterrestrial threats, such as Jark Matter. However, in Strongest Battle, he was possessed by Gaisoulg after being captured and becomes his host, which was done against his will. In the end, Stinger becomes a hero once again after he is free from Gaisoulg's control and redeemed by Marvelous and the others

History[]
Early Life[]
Stinger is a native of Planet Needle in the Sasori System. He was up in a small community and was very close to his older brother, Scorpio. As a sign of their bond, Scorpio gave him a necklace. But when Scorpio joined the evil group Jark Matter in an attempt to gain dominance, their love took a terrible turn. When he returned, Stinger was the only one still alive after Scorpio planned a slaughter of their tribe. Because of this horrific experience, Stinger felt deeply betrayed and was driven to seek retribution against his brother.
Role as Sasori Orange[]
Stinger found the Sasori Kyutama while attempting to face Scorpio. As the first member of the Kyurangers, Commander Shou Ronpo saw his promise and gave him the pseudonym Sasori Orange. Stinger was a spy who penetrated Jark Matter to obtain intelligence, until he came out to help his fellow Kyurangers teammates with Kotaro and Jiro, his real loyalty was kept a secret. He became even more determined when he saw Scorpio kill Dr. Anton's good-hearted half while on his quest.
Confrontation with Scorpio[]
A battle with Scorpio marked the end of Stinger's voyage. He used the Antares Technique, a prohibited practice that involves injecting oneself with venom to increase power at the expense of one's life, to equal his brother's might. Stinger won in spite of the danger. Scorpio sacrificed himself to save his brother by taking the venom out of Stinger as a last gesture of atonement.
Leadership and Later Endeavors[]
After Don Armage was defeated, Stinger succeeded Shou Ronpo as the Kyurangers' commander. He kept heading missions to keep the cosmos peaceful. Tsurugi Otori, the president of the Galactic Federation, ordered Stinger to take part in the "Strongest Battle" competition in order to look into irregularities. He was momentarily taken over by the Gaisoulg armour during the incident, but his comrades managed to free him.
Personality[]
Stinger is known for his solemn and austere manner. Despite his distant demeanour, he has a strong sense of devotion and morality. He upholds a personal code of honour, abstaining from hurting children and choosing to deal with difficulties alone. Even though he prefers to be alone, he develops deep relationships with his teammates, especially Champ, whom he lovingly calls "aibo" (partner). He demonstrates his kindness by making stuffed versions of his allies to console Champ while repairs are being made.

- Stinger is the first main core ranger (not counting for additional to core rangers like 6th sentai ranger and Gouraigers are an exception because they are not the Hurricangers' main member) to start as evil. Unlike the Rinjuken Warriors, who weren’t classified as a ranger, he also starts out as evil by will since Mikoto Nakadai (AbareKiller) from Bakuryu Sentai Abaranger unlike the previous evil ranger before the series.
- However, this is proven to be false as Stinger was revealed to actually be working undercover for the Kyurangers on Shou Ronpo's behalf.
