Having many arms allows me to help a lot more people!
~ Stinger Flynn's description.
You've had a rough day, I can tell. You diligently wait for the moment you leave this wretched place with your child in hand, I can also tell. Not to undermine your efforts, but I fear that moment may never come. I cannot let it happen, and I will gladly show you why, but after I do, you take my advice. Leave this place while you still can. Erase it from your memory, Move on and forget any of this ever happened, and I promise you: Tomorrow will be a better day.
~ Stinger Flynn upon meeting the protagonist.
I am struggling to locate the being who asked for your opinion.
~ Stinger Flynn insulting Banban in the second hallucination, and his most famous quote.

Stinger Flynn is one of the two secondary antagonists (alongside Jumbo Josh) of the Garten of Banban franchise.

He is the player and Banban's former arch-nemesis and is the one who kidnapped the children to extract their brains so he can be free of the knowledge he's been cursed with and live the life of a normal brainless jellyfish.

He is voiced by Faris, who's also a developer of Garten of Banban.

Appearance[]

He is a giant one-eyed jellyfish with orange skin, brownish bruises on his face, and 6 long tentacles.

Personality[]

At first glance, Flynn is a polite and tragic individual who seeks to use the kids he kidnaps to live a happier life. He repeatedly claims that he will use the "safest procedures" on them to achieve his goals. However, assuming Banban's statement is true, this is possibly just a manipulation tactic Flynn used to get the player out of the way. Flynn is highly intelligent and was capable of deducing the reason for the player’s success, as well as outsmarting them at least twice. Because of his intelligence, Flynn tends to speak in an overly verbose manner, such as saying "I am struggling to locate the being who asked for your opinion" rather than simply stating "I didn't ask."

Flynn shows himself not to care about the other mascots, as he beat up Nabnab (in front of his new friend, no less) in a rage at the player progressing. The one mascot Flynn dislikes in particular (and the feeling is mutual) is Banban, as he is usually getting in Flynn’s way and they tend to insult one another constantly (at least in the hallucination). He is also shown to dislike Jumbo Josh, stating that they have had prior altercations because hate is not an emotion he can control. The other is sorrow, simultaneously showcasing Stinger Flynn's skills at manipulation come from being able to control others' emotions, while also showing he cannot control hate and sorrow, likely because he himself strongly feels them.

However, despite being a dull and emotionless jerk, Flynn also hates Sir Dadadoo, even calling him "crazy leech" and telling the player that he cannot be naughtified due to his high intelligence, and even manages to set his differences with Banban and the player aside, showing he has a certain degree of trust.

Biography[]

Garten of Banban III[]

Stinger Flynn constantly torments and stalks the player during the 3rd game, and every time they interact with him, they black out and hallucinate themselves in a peaceful situation. The 2 include:

First Hallucination[]

The first one is Stinger Flynn and Zolphius on a beach, with Stinger Flynn talking to you during your state. And once he is done talking, you wake up as a smaller Stinger Flynn and repeat the same "Stinger Flynn Mission" Puzzle from the 2nd game. Afterwards, you will encounter Slow Seline, who will warn you that "they are coming", and then everything fades to black as you wake up in your current and normal state.

Second Hallucination[]

When trying to go to another floor, you will encounter him once again, who will once again make you black out. In this hallucination, it shows Banban, The Player, Captain Fiddles, Opila Bird, and Stinger Flynn himself driving to the beach, but they are lost. Meanwhile, Nabnab is following them from behind. As Stinger Flynn and Banban argue throughout the ride, they eventually crash. The player then wakes up once again as a small Stinger Flynn. After doing a random hit the targets kind of puzzle, they will find themselves in a locked doorway. Ending the hallucination as the player wakes up in the "Jumbo Josh Lounge" with Banbaleena and Nabnab present.

Ending[]

Near the end of the game, Opila Bird and the player, along with Tarta Bird, encounter Stinger Flynn, who seems to have captured Banban. At the end of the conversation, Stinger Flynn hijacks Banban, who chases down Opila Bird and The Player as they race to the exit. After the latter two make it, a hijacked Banban is about to kill the protagonists, only for Jumbo Josh to enter the scene and combat Banban. Jumbo Josh knocks Banban to the ground, knocking him unconscious. Stinger Flynn shows up and tries to prevent the two from fighting until Jumbo Josh snatches Stinger Flynn's tentacle and slams him onto the ground, too. After Tarta and Opila Bird join the fight, the light cut out and the player walks away from the scene.

Garten of Banban IV[]

Stinger Flynn has revealed to have survived the attack and has been apprehended by Sheriff Toadster. He sends the protagonist into another hallucination that takes place after the car crash in the previous one. Eventually, Charles shows up unexpectedly and attacks Banban, who Stinger Flynn saves while Nabnab calms Charles down. However, the car explodes and the hallucination ends. He is last seen at the end of the chapter, where he is on the elevator unconscious as Sheriff Toadster and the player descend further.

Garten of Banban VI[]

Garten of Banban VII[]

He appears before the player goes into the theater and reveals that he can’t be corrupted by Sir Dadadoo, due to his high intelligence. Like all the other games, he once again sends the player into a dream-like state and then vanishes. At the end of the game, he is laying on a hospital bed, and tells the protagonist that the wallpaper doesn't seem right, which reveals to be a mural of Flumbo.

Garten of Banban VIII[]

After Syringeon knocks out the Protagonist they are forced to do hard labour in a prison along with Stinger Flynn who was shrunken down. He then talks to you, and discusses about how he may never be able to get the children, as he is now noticeably smaller due to the givanium being drained out of him, presumably by Syringeon. He is also seen behind a fence when Sheriff Toadster kills a Givanium Prisoner. We then do not see him again until Flumbo and the Parent fall into Zolphius’ mouth. When we are instructed to go back to sleep by the Givanium Elder, we see Stinger Flynn again. He tells us that he was thrown into the village after escaping the prison. He puts us in another dreamscape, where the gang are on a slowly moving cart, being guarded by Givanium Citizens. They discuss how Captain Fiddles did not pay their taxes, and that being the reason they are in the cart. It is then revealed that they are going to be executed. Sir Dadadoo is seen wielding a machete, as he instructs Captain Fiddles to rest on the log. Due to his build, Sir Dadadoo fails in executing him. Ramamba then flies through the air and engulfs everybody, concluding the dream. We then wake up, seeing the village in flames. The Elder orders us to climb the Givanium Ladder for our safety, sacrificing himself in the end. Flumbo and Stinger Flynn climb the ladder with us, and Stinger Flynn says that he has better things to do rather than save Banbaleena. He is then absent for the remainder of the chapter.
