~ Misako explaining the Stone Army's creation. |
The Stone Army recurring antagonists in LEGO Ninjago: Masters of Spinjitzu.
They are indestructible warriors created by the Overlord to help him in his goal to take over Ninjago and destroy the balance between light and darkness, allowing darkness to spread.
History[]
The Stone Army was created during the battle between Overlord and the First Spinjitzu Master over control of Ninjago. The Overlord built the Stone Army from dark substances found in the depths of the earth, giving them invincibility and steadfast obedience to his wicked intent. The leader of the Stone Army, General Kozu was also created. The First Spinjitzu Master was forced to divide Ninjago in two as a result of the new army, which was controlled by energies inside the Overlord's helmet. The Overlord and his men were then imprisoned on what would later be called the Island of Darkness. Apparently imprisoned by the ancient tribes, some Stone Army members remained on Ninjago, but they soon became dormant and awaited their master's instruction once more.
Before a woman by the name of Misako ultimately discovered a Giant Stone Warrior and had it displayed in the Ninjago Museum of History, thousands of years had passed. Unfortunately, both the bobblehead goods and the actual Warrior were revived by the Great Devourer's poison. It was as unbreakable as when it was first formed, and the ninja were unable to beat it until Lloyd managed to deceive it into sliding down the enormous sinkhole it had been excavated from.
The Serpentine discovered a tomb with a sizable percentage of the Stone Army while tunneling beneath Ninjago City in an effort to bury and destroy it. The sculptures were reanimated after being exposed to the Devourer's venom, and they swiftly defeated the Serpentine forces before escaping the tomb and burying the snakes. The Destiny's Bounty was used to evacuate everyone from Ninjago City as the Stone Army continued to wreck devastation there. Despite the dark warriors' efforts to nearly destroy the ship's boosters, their captives were able to flee.
Lord Garmadon, who had joined forces with the Overlord and claimed the Helmet of Shadows as his own, giving him command over the Stone Army, finally summoned the Stone Army warriors who had been left in Ninjago City back to the Island of Darkness. The army was then put to work creating the ultimate weapon for the decisive fight and mining the island for Dark Matter. While they were at work, a small group of Stone Warriors observed Zane's Falcon soaring above the island and shot a shuriken at it to bring it to a stop.
As a result of Lord Garmadon's alliance with the Overlord and his acquisition of the Helmet of Shadows, which gave him control over the Stone Army, the Stone Army warriors who had been abandoned in Ninjago City were finally summoned back to the Island of Darkness. The army was then instructed to mine the island for Dark Matter and create a supreme weapon for the decisive conflict. A small group of Stone Warriors were working when they observed Zane's Falcon soaring over the island and shot a shuriken at it to bring it to a stop.
The Stone Army eventually arrived at Ninjago City, but where defeated when Lloyd discovered his true power and wiped all of them out.
