Mr. Stonesipher, also known as just Stonesipher, is a minor antagonist in Django Unchained. He is the leader of a team of slave trackers under the employment of Calvin Candie.
Biography[]
On their way to the Candyland plantation, Stonesipher and his men corner an escaped slave, D'Artagnan. After witnessing Calvin Candie mentally torture the slave, Dr. Schultz attempts to buy D'Artagnan, but he is stopped by Django Freeman out of fear of blowing their cover. As a result, Stonesipher is given permission by Candie to release his dogs, killing D'Artagnan as he is mauled to death by the canines.
After Candie's death and the shootout at Candyland, Stephen and the surviving members of the plantation discuss what to do with the captured Django. It is suggested that Django be fed to Stonesipher's dogs. However, Lara eventually settles on selling Django to the LeQuient-Dickey Mining Company instead.
After Django's escape, he ambushes Stonesipher and his tracker team in their hideout outside Candyland, where Stonesipher was in the middle of bathing to avenge D'Artagnan. In the ensuing carnage, Stonesipher is killed by Django by a shot to his crotch.
