History[]
Miss Gritta sends Stove Shadow out to attack Tokyo in her attempts to impress General Schwartz, having him operate out of Itaigawa Dark Station to inflict pain and steal Imagination. Stove Shadow attacked Tokyo and at first he attacked and terrorized the fishermen by launching coal rocks at them from a furnace on its torso, simply to cause them pain. Hikari and Kagura arrived and transformed and Tokatti and Mio arrive at the scene by taxi. When the assembled team was fighting the Kuros, the Stove Shadow used this moment and slipped away to another town aboard a Kuliner.
Stove Shadow arrived at the dam in Okuyama, planning to shoot his red-hot coal stones at the city down below. His childish ways get in the way of his plan coming to fruition, but is given an advantage because of Tokatti losing his Rainbow Pass, forcing ToQ 2gou and ToQ 3gou to be late for battles. When the demon attacked the dam, Right quickly jumped in and catched the coal in his hands, burning himself in the process. Kagura quickly called Mio as the other two Rangers started to fight the Kaijin demon.
While three ToQgers had a hard fight with Stove Shadow, In the Rainbow Line, the Conductor and Ticket are fretting over not having Tokatti with them. At the mountain trail, Tokatti talked to Mio and complained about his uselessness, and Mio told him that she herself was worried that her imagination is weaker than the others. After the long talk, Mio slipped off the rock and Tokatti saved her, and eventually Mio managed to convince Tokatti to continue fighting together with ToQgers.
Meanwhile, Stove Shadow pelted the ToQgers with charcoal, and Right shielded his teammates by taking the hits and enduring them as much as he can, straining visibly in spite of the tough front he puts up. Then, Tokatti and Mio arrive aboard the Rainbow Line, transforming and immediately Transfer Changing to take on Stove Shadow. The others did the same, but Kagura, having taken the Green Transfer Change, gets weighed down by the Tunnel Ax and falls over when she tried to hit the monster with it. Haru quickly shielded her before Stove Shadow could strike, and went on to deflect a shot from the Home Trigger to the Kaijin monster, who was sent flying. The team formed the Renketsu Bazooka, which ToQ Kagura fired at Stove Shadow, his shot becoming a rubber band connecting the cannon to the enemy's mouth. Kagura then, ordered the attack, "Rubberband Snap', which disconnected the band from the bazooka, striking Stove Shadow at full force and causing enough pain to defeat him.
He was eventually destroyed by the Rainbow Rush's rubber band variation, and enlarged to face ToQ-Oh, assisted by two Kuliner Robos. The ToQgers gained the upper hand against ToQ-Oh until the ToQgers use the Shield Ressha to protect the Ressha and themselves from Stove Shadow's attacks. The Shadow demon was then destroyed again by the Signal Shield Beam followed by the Ressha Slash.
Personality[]
Stove Shadow is a cunning, sneaky, cocky and arrogant Shadow demon, who didn't take his mission seriously and while he was determined to help his masters to conquer the Human World and wipe out humanity, but he was far too childish to the point of being naive at times, like when Right pretended to be immune to his attack, leading him to hurt himself in order to check and make sure his Coal Gravel was still hot. He also delighted in causing suffering and panic in the way he hoped to start a forest fire. He was shown to be loyal to Miss Gritta and General Schwartz and loyally followed his superiors's orders, but he was far too naive and incompetent to finish his mission and satisfy his masters's desires.
