Do you know how much time is alloted to life in the history of universe? A negligible, almost zero share of one percent. A spark in the dark. And if you are lucky to live, you have to fight for this chance. And you fight. That's why i respect you! Although you are just my copy. You got it already, right? The real Descendant of Shadow is me. You appeared as a result of my many time jumps, you and many others. You no longer need to fight. You have fulfilled your destiny. You made me stronger than Shadow. You can continue to fight for your consciousness, if you want. Sooner or later it will go out. Mine would also be extinct if it were not for May. And i have some more things to do. It was a great honor to get acquainted with you, but we won't meet again. I know this for sure. Farewell.
~ Stranger revealing his "true" identity to Proxy.
Ha, that's the real Itu i remember! Or Bolo, it doesn't matter that much. You were exactly this arrogant! This smart! And i knew how to turn this on you. I knew you would never believe me if I'd just lie to you about you being me... You were too smart! I wanted you to find May's voice, to decode it's messages. I wanted Shadow to know about time travels and the power of Shadow Mind. That's why i lulled you into thinking that i confessed to you. So you thought that you took this information from me by force! You have been my pawn all this time, Itu. And all my copies as well. And even Shadow Mind itself! But you were right in one thing. There is no Shadow's Descendant, no me, not yet. But my copies have made me stronger than Shadow, at last. And you're trapped here... forever.
~ Stranger revealing his true colors to Itu.
Whatever. You're late anyway. The Gates are about to open.
~ Stranger before the final battle with his good half.

Stranger, also self-proclaimed as The Real Shadow's Descendant, is the main antagonist of Shadow Fight 3, the second installment of Shadow Fight franchise.

He is an enigmatic time traveler and scientist who observes various individuals to study their Historical Importance Index, a person's ability to change the course of history based on their wishes. The player can assist him in his research in exchange for rewards.

Long time ago, he appeared escaping from May's Grave in the Crypt of Kingdom of Legion, where he was spotted by a Dynasty blacksmith named Bolo. Defeated, he admits that he is Bolo from the future, and that May's grave is a time portal. He also told Bolo that Shadow Mind, the core and mind of Shadow Energy imprisoned in a glass Sphere, has an ability to recreate the world. Bolo then told about this to Shadow, the ruler of Legion, who then went into the grave to find the way how to use Shadow Mind's powers to recreate the world.

After Shadow succeeded in destroying the world, Stranger told Shadow Mind that he can recreate the world and stop Shadow by increasing Shadow's Descendant's Historical Importance Index in three alternate timelines. In June's Plane (the first timeline), he guided the Descendant's copy and Dynasty Princess June (who got erased from existence and replaced by Descendant's copy), helping the copy reunite with Shadow Mind in this Plane.

He returns near the end of Itu's Plane (the second timeline) after it was destroyed by enraged Shadow Mind, and revealed to this world's Descendant copy (a shadow bot named Proximus/Proxima) that he is actually the Real Shadow's Descendant and that the Proxy and other Descendants were actually his copies that were created as results of his time travels. Surpassing Shadow's Historical Importance Index thanks to his countless copies, Stranger then proceeded to enslave the Shadow Mind and become the ruler of all planes, thus becoming the Master of Worlds.

In Marcus's Plane, the Stranger managed to take over the Legion by enslaving its King who gave the kingdom to the Shadows in exchange for immortality to King and his younger daughter and endless power to the country, allowing Legion to take over the continent but making Scourge kill it from inside. The Stranger proceeds to create various calamities in the Legion by summoning Shadow Beasts within the present Liquidators and brings back the dead, including the King himself, who is now eternally bound to his Master and is forced to stop the party from intervening further. However, the Descendant copy in this world defeats them.

After Descendant's copies reunited with Shadow Mind in all three Planes, it, still unable to break free from its Master's control, created a world where the Gates of Shadows are located near the Accelerator Tower, Stranger reigns supreme and Shadow doesn't exist, with only the Resistance led by his mother May opposing him. It was also revealed here that Stranger is not the real Descendant of Shadow and May, but an evil half of him who wants to open the Gates and restore the Shadow World, considering himself Titan's successor and hating Shadow for destroying his homeland. In the final battle, he was defeated by his good half and erased by the overwhelming powers of the Gates, destroying the world in the process.

Biography[]

Past[]

After defeating Titan and destroying the Gates of Shadows, Shadow and May lived a happy and peaceful life together, but everything changed when May became pregnant and Shadow realized she is carrying Shadow Mind, a sentient Shadow Entity and the Core of all Shadow Energy in the world that caused her to become ill. Shadow tried to destroy it, but to no avail. To protect May, the entity summoned Shadow Beasts, but they also killed or possessed countless people, causing Shadow to slaughter them across the land. Shadow, together with May, traveled to distant lands in order to find a way to destroy Shadow Mind, and stumbled upon a kingdom called Legion. When Shadow arrived here, the King of the Legion started following his percepts and formed a strong faith in Light, which made kingdom flourish. Legionaries also inherited Shadow's hatred of Shadow Energy, turning Legion into a militaristic faction that aims to destroy all of the Shadow Energy in the world. On one fateful night known as the Night of the Scourge, Shadow Mind summoned countless swarms of Shadow Beasts as a last attempt to save May and Shadow's Descendant. Shadow slaughtered every single beast, but in his rage, accidentally slaughtered May and the Descendant, with the Shadow Mind still surviving the massacre.

However, May's spirit still survived, and then saved her son by bringing him to the Shadow World that was destroyed alongside Titan and the Gates. The child was contaminated by the Shadow World before being born, creating a shadow half of himself that existed as a mere probability of its own existence and considered himself Titan's successor, hating Shadow for destroying his homeland and plotting to recreate it, becoming a time traveler who studied Historical Importance Index (ability to change the course of history based on a person's wishes) and wanted to surpass Shadow's HII to rule all the Planes and recreate the Shadow World. In his time travels, he created various copies of himself and also earned a legendary reputation in some worlds due to his high intelligence and wisdom.

Blinded by rage and grief, Shadow vowed to destroy the entity, and became the new ruler of Legion after the King sacrificed himself in order to save the kingdom and after Shadow brought one of King's daughters, Moira, to a distant island to save her. His reign caused many Legionaries to rebel, but they were banished to North and became known as Northerners. Shadow tried to destroy Shadow Mind for many years, but failed. In his search for the Legendary Shadow Sword, he and Night Warriors, his strongest Legionary Warriors, stumbled upon the neighboring nation of Dynasty. After seeing the battle between one of his Night Warriors and the Dynasty Prince, in which the latter emerged victorious, Shadow realized that this skillful country can help him destroy Shadow Mind, but all that he could do is split it from newborn Descendant and imprison inside a glass Sphere, killing Shadow's son in the process. Shadow and the dynasts built the Sphere Temple to hold the Sphere's forces here, with the Prince becoming the next Emperor and The First Arrow/Arrow of Peace, one of the three people Shadow chose to protect the world from Sphere's powers. Shadow Mind asked many to release him from the Sphere, and this opportunity became real after Galen, Shadow's disciple and Emperor's bodyguard, detained a thief who wanted to sell the Sphere. Shocked by the power the Sphere gave to him, Galen told about it to Emperor, which made Dynasty use Shadow Energy, causing Shadow and the whole Legion to become their enemy. After this, Galen became the Second Arrow, also known as Arrow of Power.

Dynasty's Shadow Weapon Blacksmith called Bolo was constantly spying on Shadow and tried to learn the secret of his powers. One day, the Descendant appeared in May's crypt as a mysterious Stranger in a futuristic armor, and was attacked by Bolo, losing because he knew that Bolo is too smart and arrogant and would only believe him if he took the information by force. The Stranger "confessed" that he is Bolo from future, and pointed at May's Grave that soaks with Shadow Energy, which is actually a portal through time. He also told Bolo about Shadow Mind's powers: It cannot be destroyed but it can recreate the whole world from scratch. Bolo told this to Shadow, and the latter lost all interest in the Sphere, instead travelling through portal into the future and find a way to destroy the world and create the world where May will be alive. Meanwhile Bolo became the Third Arrow/Arrow of Knowledge and created the faction of Heralds after finding May's incorporeal voice using Stranger's information and decoding her messages by creating the Void Room, which is created from the void that is trapped between thinnest walls of Shadow Energy.

Main World[]

In the premium "Shadow Pass" storylines, Stranger introduces himself to the player as a time traveler and scientist from future who studies various individuals with high Historical Importance Index. The player can optionally assist him to obtain various rewards.

Stranger also appears as a sparring partner in "Chapter VII".

Stranger returns after the world was destroyed when Moira put Shadow Mind inside Shadow's Accelerator Tower, explaining to Shadow Mind that he can recreate the world by surpassing Shadow's HII and reuniting with Descendant's copies in three parallel timelines where he replaced one of his friends (June, Itu and Marcus respectively).

Transformation: June's Plane[]

Stranger first appears at the beginning of the Plane in the dreams of the Dynasty Prince/ss (a Descendant copy that replaced June), testing his combat capabilities before explaining that the world rejects them as a foreign object and informs them about Stability. He then bids them farewell and tells them that their father (the Dynasty Emperor) is waiting them.

After the Prince/ss and their allies arrive in Ling's temple, Ling tells them that he will soon meet his end and is no longer interested in the Sphere, telling them that he has heard God's voice, explaining to them that he is hidden beyond time and that their history is like an open book to him, before asking prince/ss if they hear him as well.

The prince/ss then gets a vision where they see a conversation between Stranger and June, with the former explaining that the latter was replaced from existence by the Descendant's copy after the original Descendant travelled back in time thrice and replaced some Shadow Bots to avoid mass paradox. She then asks him if he is Bolo due to having the same armor and speaking like a scholar, to which he replies that it is Bolo's armor that looks like his, before telling her to be brave and to believe in Descendant.

After the prince/ss wakes up, Ling tells them that (s)he heard God's voice based on his/her facial expression. The temple pool then swirls in Shadow Energy, with Ling saying that the God is coming, before testing the player to see if they are ready for his arrival. After the player defeats Ling, God (who is actually the Stranger) appears, saying that he was right and that the Descendant replaced June and must bring her back, before convincing Marcus and Captain Phang to accompany them and enter the portal.

After the Descendant defeats Kibo in the Dynasty Palace after she killed the Emperor due to Sphere's influence, Stranger appears and tells the Descendant to reunite with Shadow Mind after it was driven insane after being separated from them again.

After the Descendant reunites with Shadow Mind, Stranger informs it that it still needs more HII to surpass Shadow, before convincing it to enter the next Plane.

Transformation: Itu's Plane[]

Stranger is first mentioned by Mistress June, who thought that main world Bolo is him.

Stranger appears near the end of the Plane after Itu's Plane was destroyed by Shadow Mind, explaining to Proxy (the Descendant copy in Itu's Plane) that he always existed as a small, insignificant probability of himself, and that the time rejects him in every world, with Proxy now knowing what it is like. After Proxy defeats their first memory, Stranger reveals himself as the real Shadow's Descendant who was saved by May's Voice, and that Proxy and many others were just copies created as a result of his time travels. He then leaves and teleports himself and Bolo/the Real Itu to May's Grave, saying that this is where they first met. He then reminds Itu about why he arrived there in the past, before fighting Itu again. As he is about to lose, Stranger revealed to Itu that he told him about Shadow Mind's powers and May's grave to make Shadow abandon his former goals and to make him destroy the world, so Stranger will surpass Shadow in side worlds. He made Itu defeat him so he thought that he took this information by force, since he would've never believed him otherwise. He then proudly claims that he has turned everyone into his pawns, but says that Itu was right by saying that the Descendant never existed, since he only existed as a small probability of his own existence, but thanks to his copies he is now stronger than Shadow. Stranger then disappears by escaping through a Shadow Portal and imprisons Itu in a time loop.

In another place, Shadow awakens and reunites with May's Voice, who apologizes to him for saving Descendant, since she never knew he would become evil, to which Shadow admits it was his fault for opening the Gates and accidentally killing May. She then explains to him that by defeating Descendant's copies, he can surpass the original Descendant again. Shadow then fights with half a billion Descendant copies, while May explains that one of those copies can defeat the original and that Shadow must find him. He replies that if this is true, then he won't stop until he finds at least one person who could stop the original, and says that he will save May no matter what, redeeming himself and becoming a hero once again.

After Proxy reunites with Shadow Mind, it once again enters the Accelerator Core, talking with May's Voice about how Proxy is merely Stranger's copy, and asks why they find him every time. Before leaving to the next plane, it asks May how can it change anything now if Stranger used everyone as pawns and will become more powerful if his copy will become more powerful too, to which May replies that it will find the answer in the next Plane.

Transformation: Marcus's Plane[]

In this world, Shadow sacrificed himself and the Sphere to save the King of the Legion from Scourge. The King then struck a deal with Stranger, who has now become the Master of Worlds, to have immortality for himself and his youngest daughter Moira and endless power for his country at the cost of Legion being consumed by the Scourge. Stranger's pawns, the Immortals, then took over the Legion, starting the dark age of Legion, and Shadow was forgotten, with only steppe nomads knowing his story, although his name was forgotten by them.

In Part I, Stranger enslaved Lieutenant Seigfried's Liquidator Squad and turned them into Shadow Beasts.

In Part II, it was revealed that Tarlan, the Prince of Steppe Nomads, made a deal with Stranger, who wants to turn this world into the new Shadow World, to spare the Steppes.

When the General of Crimson Army (this world's Descendant copy) arrived to the Bridge-Between, Shadow Mind (now enslaved by Stranger) reveals that the deceased King of the Legion is also enslaved by him.

In Part III, the Outcast reveals that after Stranger took over this world, the time itself was distorted and countless people were trapped between worlds and timelines. After the General sets the Real Itu's captured spirit free, he reveals that Stranger plots to destroy the Northerners' Heart of the Forest before disappearing.

After the General sets Itu's Plane's Shadow's captured spirit free, he reveals that Stranger wants to bring back the King of the Legion to kill Queen Moira because she is the only person who can stop him from opening the Gates of Shadows before disappearing. Stranger then resurrected various Legionaries, including the King, but all were defeated by the General. Afterwards, the Outcast reveals that the loop is almost broken and the matter is deteriorating, which sends the General and the heroes into the future, where they fight Master's Shadow Angels and the General reunites with Shadow Mind.

After Shadow Mind reunites with the Descendant, it creates a world where May is alive. However, because the Stranger's HII is much higher, he still retains his power as the Master of Worlds.

Finale: The Gates of Shadows[]

In this world, Stranger is the ruler, May is alive and leads the Resistance that opposes him, and Shadow is dead in all worlds.

In the Legion Crypt, May mourns Shadow before Stranger arrives and asks her to lead his troops. He then fights her, but refuses to kill her. She then warns him that the Gates will kill him, but he ignores her. After the Resistance sets Mnemos free and captures the Accelerator, Stranger sends shadow stormtroopers to defeat it, but they are quickly defeated.

After defeating Descendant's suicide agent Midnight, Mnemos reveals that there is a Hero who can stop the Descendant but he doesn't exist in this world and can only be summoned by collecting the memories of his friends from all planes.

While collecting Itu's memories, Mnemos reveals that the Gates never existed in his world before the Descendant was born, and then tells Itu that the Hero is the real Descendant, while the Stranger is merely his dark half, being corrupted by the shadows even before his birth.

After collecting all of the Hero's friends' memories, Stranger sent his generals to stop Mnemos from summoning the Hero. They are quickly defeated by the Resistance, and Mnemos summons the Hero.

After the Hero tests Shadow's Armorwalker on the enslaved Shadow Bots, they arrive to the Gates. Stranger asks how is the Hero there since it is against the laws of the nature, to which May replies that miracles do not obey the laws of the nature. The Hero then fights Stranger, and, after a long and difficult battle, defeats him.

The Stranger is finally defeated and falls on the ground with his mask broken and half of his face shown. Furious, he slams his fists on ground and begins to absorb the Shadow Energy of Gates, which causes the Gates to shatter. Unable to endure such energy, he starts to disintegrate. May then confronts him but he then tries to finish her off, but is unable to do so. He removes his mask, and May catches him collapsing on the ground. They then hug each other before Stranger gets erased from existence and the Gates shatter completely and destroy this plane.

Appearance[]

Stranger is a man wearing either the Time Traveler Armor (before the Gates' Plane) or the Stranger Set (in the Gates' Plane). His face is not fully shown, but he has orange hair like his mother May and glowing blue eyes because of Shadow Energy he absorbed.

Personality[]

At first, Stranger appears as a friendly person who can be grateful if the player helps him in his research or saves him from his copies, and is very wise and intelligent. He was helpful to the Descendant and Shadow Mind in June's Plane, helping them reunite and also encouraging June (who was erased from this Plane and replaced by Descendant's copy) to stay brave. He calls his copies "a bunch of creeps" because they want to replace him and become the original.

However, his true nature is revealed near the end of Itu's Plane, being an arrogant and hateful person who is revealed to be obsessed with revenge and hates his father Shadow for blaming him for May's death and destroying his homeland, Shadow World, and considers himself Titan's successor instead. He is extremely manipulative and knows how to use people for his own goals, as he lost to Bolo in the past to use his high intelligence and arrogance and fool him into thinking that he confessed to him about Shadow Mind's powers, and proudly claimed that he turned everyone, including Bolo, his own copies and even Shadow Mind itself, into his pawns.

Even thought he hates Shadow, he still loves his mother May, even if he refuses to admit this, as he asked her to lead his troops and spared her life after defeating her. After losing to the Hero, Stranger furiously tried to finish her off, but couldn't do so and dies hugging her.
