The Strawberry Shortcake Nightmare Clone, also simply called "Purple Strawberry," is a minor character from Strawberry Shortcake: Berry in the Big City. The character only appears in Strawberry Nightmare, bringing Big Apple City under her control. She is a nightmarish copy of Strawberry Shortcake who was based on the philosophy that the Peculiar Purple Pieman used to excuse his plagiarism of the Berry Besties' recipies.
The character is voiced by Ana Sani, just like Strawberry Shortcake herself.
Description[]
The Strawberry Shortcake Nightmare Clone looks like Strawberry Shortcake herself. She has green eyes and long, pink hair, and freckles. What sets her apart is that she has a purple moustache that looks like the Peculiar Purple Pieman's and wears a white long-sleeved shirt, black trousers, and black pointed shoes, as well as a white chef's cap. Her personality matches the Peculiar Purple Pieman's.
History[]
After the Peculiar Purple Pieman plagiarises the recipies that Strawberry Shortcake and her friends have made, Strawberry Shortcake is reasonably angry. She enters his office and asks why he plagiarised them. The Pieman tells her that in order to succeed, one must ditch their friends and steal ideas from them, crushing said friends' dreams and businesses. She tells her friends about it, but the latter four leave to find a cloaking device that the mechanic misplaced. Strawberry Shortcake then drifts off to sleep, waking up to find everything having become pinker. As she investigates, she finds that every Berry Folk's food cart had become a copy of hers and that everyone is selling food based on strawberries. Guided by a talking Sun creature, she winds up facing building that has a sign on top with a strawberry bearing a chef's hat and a moustache similar to Dick Dastardly (which the Peculiar Purple Pieman himself coincidentally has his moustache stylised like) and another sign close to the main door with a pink chef's hat shape and a picture of Strawberry Shortcake's face with a chef's hat. When she asks the Sun creature who did this, the being tells her that "she" did, only to correct itself and claim that Strawberry Shortcake herself did. The clone then appears out of the building and greets her. Strawberry Shortcake reveals that she is very concerned and asks how the copy did this. The copy then reveals that she did what the Peculiar Purple Pieman suggested that Strawberry Shortcake herself should do. As the clone asks if Strawberry Shortcake is proud, Strawberry Shortcake freaks out and then screams in despair, only to wake up realising she was just dreaming. The clone is never seen again.
