During the final battle of the film, the Vicious 6 use the power of the Zodiac Stone to transform into giant animals. Stronghold took the form of a giant blue ox with large metal horns, and his gauntlets become metal hooves. He still retains his hair and mustache with this transformation.
As an older man, Stronghold retained his muscular and imposing physique but his brown hair became dark gray while his mustache and sideburns became light gray.
Biography[]
He first appears in the beginning of the film celebrating after Belle Bottom retrieves the map of the Zodiac Stone. He next appeared with the rest of the villains in Asia as they betrayed Wild Knuckles.
He and the other villains next appeared in their lair during Gru's interview. He and the other villains joined in on a laugh while Belle made fun of him. When the villain Wind Man came in to try out, his jetpack machine malfunctioned, and so he and the other male villains held Belle back as she lassoed him down. Gru took this time while they were distracted to steal the stone. Stronghold was the first to go after Gru, using his fist to break the glass bridge that he had to take to get to them. Stronghold then busted out of the first part of the building, knocking over cars in his way. He eventually caught up with Gru and threw a car at him. At the same time, Nun-Chucks had thrown her nunchucks, which hit Stronghold in the face.
He and the other villains were next seen all getting into their own individual cars that they would use to pursue Gru. His vehicle appeared to be a giant green tank. They used their vehicles to arrive at Gru's house, where they were met with Gru's mother. After some interrogating, they learned where Gru was, so they left.
They all appeared again in San Francisco while invading Wild Knuckles home with their machines. Stronghold was the second the break in with his tank. After finding nothing, they left. They eventually found Gru at the Chinese New Year festival that was taking place that night. After capturing Gru, they took the stone, but at the same time were confronted with the Anti-Villain League. Just then the clock stuck twelve, and Belle embedded herself and the other villains with the gem's power. Stronghold turned into a ox-like creature while the others turned into their respective beasts. He and Svengeance were seen rampaging while Belle took care of Gru. They all reconvened when Wild Knuckles appeared.
During the battle, Stronghold head butted the Minion that was being chased by Jean-Clawed. The goat soon came back and used his "Inner Beast" abilities to attack the two. The group eventually reconvened again after Gru had gone to save Wild Knuckles. As he lay in agony, Belle ordered everyone to destroy Gru, and so they all prepared to pounce. Just then, all the Minions used their abilities to create a force to push them all back, allowing Gru to grab the stone. Once he did, he turned them all into rats. In the end, they were all arrested.
He is now elderly in the present, most likely still in his late fifties or early sixties. Many years later, an older Stronghold is seen in AVL Prison during the talent show organized by Maxime Le Mal and a now adult Gru, enthusiastically joining in the song "Everybody Want To Rule The World" with all the inmates. He still has his muscular physique.
