Shut up, give me the stones, or die!
~ His first lines after going through several languages.
Your Earth is doomed.
~ Chuck to Kid and Jo.
Wow, I really thought you had a win there. Thought Papa G really believed in you. I'm sure you feel hurt, betrayed, pathetic, incompetent, and so on. But the worst part must be realizing that you'll never be a hero. But I get why you think you are. No matter what side you're on, everyone's a hero in their story. I, for one, am concerned that my Great Leader hasn't arrived yet. So, I constructed this communication device, and once I connect it to your primitive satellite dish, I'll call him he and our army will come down, take the stones, take over the galaxy, and... I shall be the hero! Don't feel bad for quitting, Kid. Your comic book heroes do it all the time. Hey, maybe giving up will be the one thing you'll be good at. Though it is a shame to waste such a good, tragic, origin story. Oh, all your heroes have them. Exploded planet, lost love, dead uncle... or maybe a car accident on Route 70. You're like that bat guy, only without the talent, brain, strength, money or success.
~ Chuck provoking Kid with a horrible speech.

"Stuck Chuck" is a major antagonist turned protagonist in Kid Cosmic.

He was voiced by Tom Kenny, who also played Uncle Howee from The Haunting Hour, Dr. Fen from Kim Possible, the Dirty Bubble and the Abrasive Side from Spongebob Squarepants, the Chritchellites and Scaramouche the Merciless from Samurai Jack and Binky the Clown from Shakes the Clown.

Appearance[]

Stuck Chuck has orange skin, yellow eyes, fish-like ears, two antenna and a green tong that spills out his mouth when he talks. He wears a blue space suit for clothing. Later in the series, he has half his body missing because of a teleportation accident. Rosa describes him as a lobster boy suggesting he has an exoskeleton.

Personality[]

Stuck Chuck is by his own admission evil, and is devoted to his great leader, who he idolizes. He is shown to be condescending and manipulative when the tricked Kid and the Local Heroes to first bring him to the delivery ship and later tricked Kid into letting him contact his Great Leader.

After it is revealed that his Great Leader is a coward and he gets betrayed by him, he denounces his leader and tries to change his evil ways.

Biography[]

Chuck first appeared when he was chasing an alien delivery guy who was transporting the Stones of Power with a fleet of ships. Chuck managed to shoot the ship, damaging it and forcing the delivery driver to open a portal to Earth, with Chuck chasing his prey down to Earth as well. Chuck found the Stones in the possession of Kid and Jo, and tried to kill them with his laser pistol, but was defeated and became stuck in the floor when Flo opens a portal below his feet. Later, his laser pistol was destroyed as well.

Chuck gets briefly unstuck when Rosa frees him, and during this time, he assaults Papa G and steals the Yellow Power Ring, the latter being used to create an army of himself to steal the other power rings. However, he gets stopped by Rosa, who then destroys his ship. When he was about to be killed by Rosa, he is saved by Papa G merely arresting him.

After Chuck is recaptured, he convinces the local heroes to look for the delivery ship in order to find the sacred scroll of the Stones. When the get on board of the ship, he escapes, finds a dead ray, takes Kid hostage, and attempts to call the Great Leader, only to be stopped by Tuna Sandwich. After the local heroes manage to escape, Chuck accidentally activates the ship's self-destruct sequence, and as he plans to escape, he gets cut in two, rendering him without his legs once more.

After this, he manipulates Kid Cosmic into letting him contact his Great Leader by showing him that his one act of heroism was faked by Papa G, as well as provoking him into doing so. Once Great Leader is summoned, he briefly obtains the Cosmic Rings but lost them. When the battle that later ensues gets out of hand, Great Leader runs away, leaving Chuck behind, throwing him off the ship before leaving, leaving Chuck feeling betrayed.

Reformation[]

Here to make amends for past deeds. Chuck sorry, Great Leader.
~ Chuck apologizing

Chuck is later interrogated by the Biker in Black, during which he sadly admits his mission failed and that Kid was braver than his leader. After the Biker in Black leaves, he is confronted by the delivery man he shot down at the beginning of the show. The delivery man is knocked out by Tuna Sandwich, who is given the translating device. Chuck then reforms to make up for everything he did to Kid, and refers him as his Great Leader, solidifying his redemption.

Along with Tuna Sandwich, they recruit the main heroes, all of them surprised at Chuck's inclusion and redemption. Chuck formally apologizes to Kid and all of them form a heroic team, Chuck included. They then go to try to convince the Biker in Black that the aliens aren't evil, to no success. They are then sent away, but Chuck interferes last second, giving Kid the chance to thwart the Biker and give the stones back to their respective alien. Chuck then joins the team on their next mission.

Trivia[]

  • Stuck Chuck's real name is unknown.
  • While Stuck Chuck uses a translator device to speak, he can speak English on his own, but chooses not to due to the pain involved with doing so. It was part of his atonement to speak without it and give it to Tuna Sandwich.
