Bi-Han, also known as Sub-Zero, is an antagonist of Mortal Kombat 1, serving as a number of more malicious counterparts of the main Sub-Zero. A dark version of Bi-Han, known as Titan Sub-Zero, is an antagonist in Season 3 of Invasions. In "Season of the Cryomancer", Titan Sub-Zero invades Liu Kang's timeline.
As with his main counterpart, he is voiced by Kaji Tang.
History[]
Mortal Kombat 1[]
Among Titan Shang Tsung's forces included a Dark Sub-Zero native to his timeline, who seems to be a version of Bi-Han fully loyal to the sorcerer, and joined the invasion of Liu Kang's New Era. Sub-Zero, ironically accompanied by a Dark Scorpion, confronted the New Era's Deadly Alliance and Raiden when they are destroying portals to prevent the invasion, interrupting them when they were attempting to kill Dark Shao. While the two pairs duelled, the invaders were killed by Shang Tsung and Quan Chi. During the Battle of Armageddon, there were many versions of Sub-Zero among the Order of Darkness.
Invasions[]
An alternate version of Sub-Zero features as the main antagonist of Invasions Mode season 3: The Cryomancer. This Arctic Sub-Zero led a legion of Cryomancer Lin Kuei, and invaded the New Era to conquer it, reducing it to a frozen wasteland. Incredibly ruthless, he vowed to kill all those throughout the timelines who did not share Lin Kuei blood. Liu Kang's champions would go onto face this invasion, fighting his servants. Despite his losses, he remained resolute, and fought an intense final stand, eventually being frozen in place with water when he created an ice forcefield. In defeat Sub-Zero refused to surrender, leading to Ermac killing him, and his troops were lost without him, leading to their defeat as well.
Khaos Reigns[]
Another version of Sub-Zero is a member of Titan Havik's Brotherhood of Chaos, and is the partner of a similarly Khaotic Scorpion. They joined Havik's final gambit at the Fire Temple, and were left to deal with the Earthrealmers, which included Noob Saibot, whom had been freed from Havik's influence. They fought Noob, and took him on along with his Scorpion. After Khaos Scorpion was defeated, Sub-Zero took on Noob himself. Sub-Zero managed to trap Noob with his Ice Clone, before striking him. Seeing Noob and his brother bickering, the Khaotic Sub-Zero vowed to finish them off. However, this time, they lost the battle, and Noob ruthlessly tore Sub-Zero in half.
