Sudayev Commando Team are minor antagonists in Ace Combat 5: The Unsung War. They are a Yuktobanian special forces unit responsible for a chemical attack on Bana City.
Biography[]
During the Osean invasion of Yuktobania, a college in Dresdene was attacked by the Osean "8492nd Squadron", which was actually an undercover Gray Men-affiliated Grabacr Squadron, but blame fell on the Wardog Squadron operating nearby. The attack led to several civilian casualties, and Yuktobanians resolved to avenge them by staging a similar attack in Osea. On November 4, 2010, Sudayev Team was tasked with spreading a deadly chemical agent in Bana City, which claimed at least 300 citizens' lives, while another armed group was sent to attack Apito International Airport. Wardog Squadron was ordered to deal with one of the incidents.
Reprisal[]
Assuming Wardog was ordered to neutralize the chemical agent spread by Sudayev Team, they would later witness the commandos' attempt to escape the city, all while being chased by police. As Kedar Unit was dispatched to extract them, they were engaged by the Wardog Squadron and failed to rescue their allies in time. Sudayev Team was captured by the police and presumably either arrested or executed for their war crimes.
Chain Reaction[]
Assuming Wardog defended the Apito Airport instead, Sudayev Team evaded capture and presumably returned to Yuktobania.

- The team uses "Sudayev", a second name used in Russia, as their name. It could also be their leader's second name.
- Sudayev Team are the second Ace Combat villains to use chemical weapons following Neucom, although chronologically they are the first.
