Suel (スエル Sueru) is the creator of the Desire Grand Prix and the main antagonist of Kamen Rider Geats, the fourth Reiwa era installment of the Kamen Rider franchise.
He is an enigmatic figure behind Desire Grand Prix and the leader of the Game Masters that control the game. Suel is the one who caused the disappearance of Mitsume, the original mother of Ace Ukiyo, having turned her into the Goddess of Creation to exploit her powers for the DGP.
Using the Zillion Driver and Sirius Card, in conjunction with his own administrative powers, Suel can transform into Kamen Rider RegadΩ.
He is voiced by Yoshitsugu Matsuoka (who also voiced Petelgeuse Romanée-Conti from Re-Zero, Majima from Lycoris Recoil and Äs Nödt from Bleach) and physically portrayed by Masashi Takada.
History[]
Not much is known about Suel, but in the ancient past, Suel assembled various Game Masters to perform a ritual on Mitsume transforming her into the Goddess of Creation. The result was Mitsume becoming the source of the Desire Grand Prix Staff's ability to grant wishes and rewrite reality. In the present day, the memory of this event was accessed by Beroba and Michinaga Azuma after they stole the Vision Driver, in order to find information they could use against Ace.
Suel oversaw the Desire Grand Prix from behind the scenes, leaving Niramu to directly handle while he stayed behind the curtain. He continued to watch it as it was hijacked by Beroba and turned into the Jyamato Grand Prix, before deciding to take more direct action after Michinaga Azuma eliminated both Geats and Gazer, allowing the Jyamato side to claim both Vision Drivers and access the Goddess of Creation.
Suel watched from behind the scenes as Michinaga initiated a "Desire Royale" to eliminate all the DGP Kamen Riders. After Ace was brought back by Tsumuri with her mysterious powers, Suel remarked that she had finally awakened and pondered what the outcome of Ace's return would be.
After Ace and Michinaga kill Chirami, Suel appears and applauds them before bringing the two rivals into the Goddess of Creation's room. He then tells the two who he is and decides to restart Desire Royale, distributing various Desire Drivers across the city to recruit more Riders to participate in the game. Among those who were recruited were Neon Kurama and Sara Sakurai, the older sister of Keiwa. Suel promised that whoever won the Desire Royale would get their desire granted, but secretly didn't plan on granting any of their desires as he had already planned to instigate the "Grand End" and move the DGP to another point in time.
After Ace Ukiyo stole one of the Vision Drivers and used it to access the Goddess of Creation again, Suel appeared and claimed that the Goddess was no more than a tool with no will of her own. He then pulled out a blank Desire Card and attempted to get the Goddess to erase Ace from existence, but the Goddess instead started shrieking and cracking. Suel concluded that this must be due to her power fading and decided to dispose of her in the "Grand End." When Ace charged at him, Suel simply zapped him into the DR arena and took away his Vision Driver. Later, Suel commenced the Grand End and had the Goddess lowered into the sky by chains, watching as she slowly cracked apart while the Grand End was underway. Niramu then asked if it was really necessary to dispose of the Goddess, but Suel informed him that he had already found an inheritor for her powers. The two were then confronted by Ace, prompting Suel to order Niramu to deal with him. When the statue of Goddess of Creation begins to shatter, Ace unleashes his fury towards Suel, therefore creating the Boost MK9 Raise Buckle. Ace then uses it to transform into Boost MK3 and destroys one of Gazer's Hypnorays.
Ace then attacks Suel, but the latter retreats with the Mitsume's statue. At the Desire Temple, Suel proposes Tsumuri to be the next Goddess of Creation. Niramu disagrees with this, so Suel orders Samas to shoot him. Samas then takes Niramu's Vision Driver and gives it to Suel for the initiation of Grand End.
After that, Suel transforms into his own version of Gazer and starts the Grand End, erasing the Desire Drivers alongside their Core IDs and prompting the supporters (except for Beroba and Kekera) to leave the world. When Suel nearly completes the Grand End, he was unexpectedly confronted by Ace, whose powers and memories are still inact. Ace then uses Boost MK9 Raise Buckle to transform into his ultimate form, Geats IX and reverses the Grand End in process. Suel then fights against Geats IX, but thanks to the latter's new reality-warping godlike powers, he was defeated. Before Geats can destroy the Vision Driver, Suel takes it and tells him that whether his world can be a utopia or dystopia, so he will be confronting him later before leaving.
With Ace having halted the Grand End, Suel dispatched Samas together with Zitt to the past to eliminate Ace, retrieve Tsumuri and finish the Grand End.
After Ace defeats Zitt, Suel appears to absorb Zitt and take the Zillion Driver from him. Suel then revealed that he designed Zitt as a mere right-hand of his before teleporting away to enact his final plan. From a rooftop, Suel gives a broadcast where he announces a final Desire Grand Prix and sends Black Tsumuri to select the participants. Using the Zillion Driver, Suel transforms and absorbs the desires of the DGP audience to become Kamen Rider Regad Omega.
Suel, alongside with Samas and Black Tsumuri, start to observe the participants across the city via a group of Game Masters. Unbeknownst to him, Girori had secretly infiltrated the staff in order to give Ace a chance to end the game once and for all. Ace then enters the Desire Hall to confront Suel one more time and transforms into Geats IX. After a fight between the two, Suel uses the Zillion Driver to negate Ace's powers, thus making him immobilized. He then orders Black Tsumuri, who has possessed her real self's body, to shoot Ace in the head with Magnum Shooter 40X. However, unknown to Suel, Ace had ascended into a deity as a one last step to destroy DGP.
Suel then appears in front of Keiwa and Neon, who realized that Ace has been defeated by him. He starts fighting the two, with Michinaga joining Keiwa and Neon's side. However, the three riders prove to be overmatched against him and they are stripped from their drivers and Raise Buckles. At the same time, Ace, now as a deity, appears out of nowhere with his Booststriker, attacks Suel and gives the powers back to his friends. The four riders transform into their main forms and fight. Suel uses Reverse once more but this time, it was proven ineffective, as Ace shifts into Geats IX to finish Suel off. Suel then seemingly survives the battle as the victor, but when his mask started to break off, he realizes that Ace has gone inside his mind. Ace then takes over his body and destroys his mind, killing Suel once and for all. With Suel's death, the DGP staff and the Game Masters were erased from the existence.
