The Sulfuric Acid also known as Sulfurina, or Ryu-san in Japanese, is a supporting character from Dr. Stone franchise.
She is the symbolic embodiement of the titular chemical. However, initially she was hallucinated by Ginro, who was scared of the chemical after see his silver lance turned black, but before jump in it for instinct.
As how Senku mentions, her chemical was used to constant investigation and as a base for the chemical industries, as well as being a cause of a poisonous pollution, that can kill anyone who breathes it, as how it was happened to a explorer in Senku's tale.
She is voiced by Ayako Kawasumi in Japanese and Amber Lee Connors in English.
Appearance[]
She is not a real being, but her illusionary representation has her looking like a beautiful goddess in a long white dress, wavy, long emerald green hair with a flower crown on-top and big green eyes, white angel wings and wears thigh-high socks; however, she quickly turns into a gross, distorted melting face, and even a giant skeletal demoness when people get too close and die from her gas.
Personality[]
She is not a real being, but has the appearance of a beautiful benevolent goddess that lures people in but once they get too close to the poisonous gas she emits, she reveals her true colors as a vicious demoness ready to swallow and murder anyone who gets within her clutches.
Biography[]
Ishigami Village Arc[]
When Senku Ishigami and company go to the lake, Ginro goes directly to the lake imagining her, but when they stop him before he falls into the lake, she gets angry in Ginro's imagination.
After Senku creates the gas masks, she tries to reach Chrome, but Ginro pulls him into the spear, leaving him out of reach. also managing to obtain some her for Ruri's medicine.
Vs. Hyoga Arc[]
She leaves the lake and spreads the gas on a path away from the Ishigami village, killing several living beings in her path. When Hyoga drops the warriors of the Tsukasa Empire, his gas also kills them.
Later, she is used for various inventions and objects of the Kingdom of Science, such as batteries, a bluff bullet, makeup, or it is used as a weapon against Ibara.
Powers and Skills[]
Her poisonous gas is capable of killing anyone who comes too close. The only chance of avoiding her gas while treading her territory is to wear a gas mask (made by Senku) though one must remain calm as hyperventilating and breathing too much and panicking will cause a quicker loss of breath than the gas mask's ability to purify the air.
Relationships[]
- Ginro: The character who gives her the image in the series, was about to look out into the lake because of his "charming appearance" and when they save him, she gets angry with him for not entering the lake.
