Skadovsk became home to bandits; Although all stalkers were forced to pay a tax, the number of disputes on the ship fell dramatically after a few unruly characters were made example of - by being thrown off the vessel to die in emissions. Unwilling to continue paying a cut of his proceeds to the bandits, Beard assembled a squad of stalkers and set off to explore the yet uncharted regions of the Zone. Sultan's social order settled firmly into place on the Skadovsk.
~ Sultan's gang taking over Skadovsk (Player-determinant)

Sultan's Gang is a major character in the Ukrainian FPS Survival Horror video game S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Call Of Pripyat.

A gang of bandits under the leadership of Sultan. Unlike other bandits they are much less aggressive and violent: They honor the "unwritten rules", live by them and even are willing wo negotiate with regular stalkers.

History[]

The gang was organized and founded by Sultan. No more information is available about, how the gang were before they relocated in the central of the Zone. It is known that Sultan, unlike his predecessors Yoga and Borov, made the bandits less violent and barbaric and more organized and controlled. Sultan viewed his men as enforces and gangsters rather than a bunch of low-level thugs.

After the center of the Zone was opened, Sultan and his men followed the stalkers to center. At some point before the events of the game, Sultan and the local stalker leader, Beard, established neutral relationship, thus making Skadovsk, a neutral area for everyone. However, Sultan still wanted to take over Skadovsk and make it a bandit-only place, but was met with resistance from Beard and the local stalkers.

How successful will they plan be is fully player-determinant: The player can either help the Beard and the stalkers, resulting in Sultan's Gang's exile from Skadovsk or help Sultan and the bandits, resulting in Beard's leaving and Skadovsk becoming a bandits' base; The player can also simply help neither, resulting in no changes

Also, if the player doesn't clear the Bloodsuckers' lair nearby, then Skadovsk will sink, resulting in neither's win.

Membership[]

Sultan's Gang don't have many named members, except for two:

  • Sultan, the founder and the leader.
  • Knuckles and his gang, are the enforcers of Sultan, while Knuckles himself is his right-hand

Powers & Skills[]

  • Weaponry: Sultan's men posses different firearms depending on their rank.
  • Authority: Sultan's gang have some sort of authority around stalkers on Skadovsk. It is known that many stalkers join Sultan, like Knuckles did.
