The Sultan is a minor antagonist in the DuckTales 1987 episode "Master of the Djinni". He is a persian tyrant that Scrooge and Glomgold meets when Djinni sends them to the past.
He was voiced by Roger C. Carmel.
Biography[]
Djinni uses his powers to send Scrooge and Glomgold to the past to prevent both from finishing their race. Then both are found and captured by the troopes of the Sultan, the sultan believes that both are spies and decides to sent them to the crocodile pit to be devoured. However, before both are killed, Schewebazade uses her talent of putting people to sleep with her stories to sleep the guards and save both of them. In the palace Sultan goes to his harem where Scrooge and Glomgold are disguised as women to go unnoticed. The sultan suspects them but Schewebazade makes him to sleep with one of her stories and takes Scrooge and Glomgold out of the palace. The next morning when they are going to the desert both Scrooge and Glomgold are discovered, then the soldiers of the sultan pursue them in the desert and soon catch up with them, but all are saved by the Emir of Somnambula.
