Sunakake Babaa is a clown-themed Minor Youkai who served the Youkai Army Corps, working under Daimaou. a minor antagonist in Ninja Sentai Kakuranger, serving as a minor antagonist in the 34th episode.
She was played and voiced by Akiko Hyouga.
Biography[]
Past[]
Sunakake Babaa first came to be when humanity's negative emotions physically manifested and formed thier own group under the leadership of the most powerful of thier kind; Daimaou. One thousand years ago, Sunakake Babaa was among the army of Yokai who attacked Ninjaman whilst he defended a village. Sunakake Babaa was evidently able to escape alive but Ninjaman was banished by the Three God Generals as he slaughtered his entire village after mistaking them for Yokai.
Sunakake Babaa was ultimately among the Yokai who managed to avoid being sealed behind the Seal Door by the Ancient Kakurangers but was reduced to a human form when the Yo Power was sealed with Daimaou.
Kakuranger[]
By 1994, Sunakake Babaa has evolved into a more human woman-like form by the time that the Yo Power is released by Kappa.
Sunakake Babaa watches Azukiarai, Keukegen and as potential husbands until they are slain by the Kakurangers. When Daimaou is released by Gashadokuro, she turns her attention to him instead.
Sunakake Babaa is recalled by the Announcer whilst recapping the Kakurangers' war against the Yokai during his feature on the Kakurangers.
Sunakake Babaa is seen, along with all the other defeated Yokai, behind the Seal Door after Daimaou is finally sealed away by the Kakurangers. Reeling that they are now powerless in captivity, the Yokai all vow that they will one day be reborn and regain their power, cursing humanity.

Sunakake Babaa is mentioned when Nobuo goes to get a kebab and off-handedly remarks about her attempt to woo Daimaou by poisoning people.
Personality[]
Sunakake Babaa was an extremely flirtatious and violent Youkai willing to do anything to woo other Youkai including Daimaou himself.
Powers and Abilities[]
- Longevity: Sunakake Babaa survived for at least six thousand years with no side effects.
- Human Form: Sunakake Babaa could assume the form of a human woman by fading in and out of existence.
- Yokai Lightning Cloud Summoning: Sunakake Babaa was able to summon the Yokai Lightning Cloud to enlarge herself with its Yo Power.
Weaknesses[]
- Sand Jar: By shattering the sand jar between Sunakake Babaa's breasts, all of her effects would be undone.
Arsenal[]
- Fists: Although she had no weapons, Sunakake Babaa was an effective fighter.
- Sand Jar: Sunakake Babaa carried a small golden jar between her breasts that she could use to release an unlimited supply of sand. This could be used to poison or to attack as it was highly corrosive.
